I agree Affan. It's time for these type of bullying tactics to be accounted for-The cops think they can scare us into little american sheep-(since when was this their job anyway?) and it won't stop here if we continue to Not exercise our Rights- Freedoom of Speech. The people in this situation handled themselves very well and I commend them- now for the next steps.
Thanks again Cate.

Just part of the republican agenda. They arrested people before when Bush was running, as terrorists. Nothing to that extent happened with the democrtates, but, that is the big difference. AMERICA NEEDS TO WAKE UP AND CHANGE IT.

Noted, thanks Cate.

Hmm, makes me wonder who called the Gestapo in the first place. How did the po-lice know they were even in the building they rented? Their Constitutional rights were definitely violated when the lawyers were denied access to the building to represent the group who were there. "you will get arrested if you do not show ID and have a photo taken" is a threat of arrest if you don't comply. Search and seizure laws were violated. Oh, I forgot. Bush's House Republicans passed language in the new FISA law gutting the Fourth Amendment, and law enforcemnent agencies can seize property if they believe it is a terrorist group, and or group associated with terrorists. Apparently someone knew these people were going to be there, and knew about some of the literature that was seized. Sounds like an inside job to me. Someone ratted them out. I believe the only reason there were no arrets was because the lawyers were there and could give testimony that nothing was going on. But I do agree that this is how the RepubliCons operate. The RNC protests are going to be far worse then the DNC ones, and I did not see one report about any protests going on at the Denver DNC convention.

The signs of a fail regime in it's last gasps of totalitarianism. How long will it take before the nation says no more totalitarianism and economic sabotage?

The senator from my state now has a copy of article and choice words from me regarding his party and politics-along with their inability to recognize a real terrorist if one actually showed up.
Make this an issue because this is a perfect example of what we are fighting against
I say use it .Send this far and wide and everyone call, write ect their Reps . and let it be known that this is what the problem is.

We let them erode our rights and did nothing and now they think they can do it all. This is not an uncommon scene for a police deptmt. Bush got the laws changed to do as he pleased and judges went right along with him. We still have a right to speak, to hold quiet meeting and discuss what ever we want as long as it isn't a conspiracy against the government. We have the right to say this government sucks big time and breaks the laws every day. But it sure as hell is looking like a police state more and more. I argue with people all the time after one of these "busts". And all I hear is "they must have had a good reason". How damn dumb is that, especially when you find out later they "hit" the wrong house. We have to get others into office to give us our rights back

Who will protect the public when the police violate the law? A right is not what someone gives you; it's what no one can take from you.thanks

Speaking of Crazy Radicals, we are going from an Alcoholic President Bush to watching John Caine, who is a person who loves to gamble, especially loves to play Craps. He is so addicted to gambling he is even playing Craps with his own candidacy by running Palin as Vice President.

We MUST AT ALL COSTS keep a gambler like this from the White House where he will gamble our Country AWAY!

LOL Tsandi!:) Freudian slips can break hips, especially at Mc$ame's age!;)
The Protesters at the DNC were roughed up in a RepubliCON state - so I wouldn't be surprised at Much Worse at the RNC! I guess they should be thankful most of the National Guard has been "outsourced" or we could see Kent State type "policing"...:(

Anyone audacious enough to express an opinion at the RNC best be wearing a helmet. The politicians push and push and push--how much longer before this country explodes? For the first time I am seeing everyday people storing up supplies against a future that is uncertain but most likely headed to violence.

In my opinion, the people ARE waking up, and these outrageous actions of the police, besides the politicians actions, will be a catalyst that brings the larger masses of Americans together for Change. If they don't produce it, then "the people" will produce the Change necessary. This is the ONLY positive opinion I can give for these abuses of our Freedoms. Noted, and thank you Cate.

I don't Know if any body noticed But a week or 2 before DNC the Feds Sent out a "Warning Notice" to Be on the look out for "Cloned Official Vehicles"
As "Terrorist Groups" have the Ability Now to Copy all the Identification Plates and Vin #'s as Well as "Official Looking Documents"....
Of Course What Does that Mean To the Guy on the Street? That if a COP Government Agent Stops Them and They Don't Believe he is Authentic? They Can Refuse To comply >>NOT

Dang Thing Cut my Post in Half....
It is all to Provide Plausible Deniabliity for Abuse and Terrorism By the Gov agents; and to Give Cover for the Next "False Flag"; " The Terrorists Were apparently Using Cloned Government Vehicles and Cleverly Forged Documents; of course All the Terrorists Were Burned beyond Recognition.....
So What Should "We the People Do?"
Copy the Cloned Vehicle Article, Carry it With Us; and Demand Proof To Our Satisfaction that Any COP or Government Agent is Not a Clone....and if they Fail To Then We have the Obligation to Defend Our Country and Our Families From Potential Terrorists.... Just Remember What G Gordon Liddy Said.
Even if they are Cloned Agents; Alway's Assume They are Wearing a Vest....

We are living in some very strange times when people can not seem to peacefully discuss their views about all issues. It is so very sad that the distrust has spread so much that some people go out looking for the bad in people instead of looking for the good in all people.

Interesting that it only seems to be a problem here when they attack RNC protesters. Most of Care2 was fine with the attack on DNC protesters. And none of the stories got a third as many notes or comments. Thanks for supporting a police state Care2.

I'll be frank, it is indeed rare to find so many posters who must have met each other long ago. Dare I say, wisdom is not the answer; rather, it is the desire to seek truth that is the true jewel of discovery. Can't have one without the other. I further know why our beloved prez will not meet with the al-Qaeda, Taliban, and all involved in this little sortie of CIA over-indulgence. You can never have peace without direct dialogue! That alone would keep any sane-normal human being busy. Do we want peace in the Middle East? The CIA does not.
