And so we're left with no other justification other than to peg his obstructionism as sheer hubris and drama queen posturing. With every month that goes by without health care reform, another 3,600 Americans die due to a lack of insurance.

Obama was elected because people took him seriously when he promised real change. So why won't he take bold action on any of these fronts? Is it because if he did, the Republicans would abandon him and crush his dream of bipartisanship?

We think the only thing they understand is force. What if the only thing we understand is force?

The committee is well aware that history is contingent and that Obama might fail. It knows very well that the same country that elected Obama also gave the world George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan.

And the logic of that chapter, that chapter five in my book, rests on the proposition that women voting is bad for conservatism, and as a conservative, of course, I think that's bad for society.

People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made.
