Sea Shepherd Cries Foul Over Western Australia Shark Cull

Animals  (tags: wildlife, sharks, cruelty, slaughter )

- 2051 days ago -
Officials plan to kill any sharks -- including the protected and endangered white shark -- swimming near beaches in Western Australia. At a cost of far more than the $6.35 million that the Australian government is investing in the program, it is shameful

There is no reason for this slaughter. People stay out of the water and if they go into shark infested water then shame on them. Idiot people.

I swear that the only thing people can do anymore is KILL...people, animals, sea creatures, etc. When will it stop?

Noted. Thanks so much, Jill. It's terribly sad that the first thing that comes to mind to solve a problem is to kill animals. There have to be other options Australia could try to combat the problem.

Very sadly noted. This is NOT the answer! The ocean BELONGS to The Sharks. People can STAY OUT of the water. Thx SO much for posting, Jill!!

This is madness - it will just create a gap that other sharks will think is a good food opportunity - IDIOCY! As Billy Connolly said 'If a shark wanders down the high street....' - you get his point - we are in THEIR territory in the ocean - perhaps we shouldn't be unless we are prepared to take the consequences.

Noted, tweeted, and shared. Let's of irony here; people are afraid of sharks when the sharks should be more afraid of people.
