Sickening and a disgrace.

If you have to issue hunting concessions, then issue them to hunt humans, and especially poachers and all those involved in the disgusting trade.

Hunt down and cull a significant percentage of their country's excessive human population.

Thanks - it seems quite absurd - unless they are paying about 20 million rand per head or more.... why are we helping to preserve these species when hunters can shoot them?

"Trophy hunting has been conducted under this policy for the past three hunting seasons (2009-2013), with revenue derived for the state. Such revenues have been reinvested in wildlife conservation"

Seriously? We think the bad guys are the poachers. But what's the difference between the poachers and the governments? Nothing. In africa, there are no good guys;;;only animals that don't stand a chance. That whole continent is just like asia. The value of their animals is seen through the scope of a rifle.

Is it legal for the rest of us to "hunt" the "trophy hunters"? A hunter's head nailed to a piece of wood might be the perfect last minute Christmas gift for that hard-to-buy-for friend or relative.

Sickening, Namibia you are absolutely irresponsible. Issue permits to kill poachers instead if you are so hard up for the $, there are more of them. There is no reason for me to visit your country, I rather visit a more nature friendly country which is not destroying its own heritage for the $ to feed their politicions and hangers on.

The same disgusting story again.Government officials issue permits to kill off beautiful wildlife that belongs to "nature".Only to thicken their wallets while 'life' , the highest value, is reduced to a dead, worthless "trophy" on the wall.Shame to these ignorant and unworthy " humans".
