It is a great victory, but it ain't over, we cannot drop our guard and stop thinking about them, we need to know they will be protected against poachers, and live for many happy years.

Get the other elephants outta china and back to their native country and with their families.

Arrange for the baby elephant whom died in china, to be returned to zimbabwe and be buried in his / her familiar habitat in own country.

Good news indeed. Now they have to make sure they are protected all their lives from the other doorway into China - the one paved with ivory.

Goodness me - I can scarce believe what I have just read! Wonderful news - thanks so much Jill, I was so worried for the little baby elephants - but for some blessed reason the Zimbabwean authorities have listened! May they never try to do this again! I take it the babies cannot be reunited with their families, but will need to form a little refugee family somewhere with an older group of elephants who can help them to be proper elephants - as Daphne Sheldrake's elephant orphanages do.
