"..placed on the list of worst offenders in ivory trade likely to face trade restrictions...and there are only 8?!
And 70 elephants killed daily?

I do not envy CITIES, given what it appears they have to work with in terms of participants here :-(

If people would stop asking for Ivory then the killings would stop!

I am so discouraged regarding the poaching subject! It seems unsolvable.

Problems were meant to be solved. We never fail until we stop trying.

I find it helpful to keep a list of wins for the times when I feel like giving up.

I also like to re-read about Rainbow Warriors.

We are the Rainbow Warriors.
We have come.
We are here.
It is predicted that we win,

I've worked there so I know how difficult it can be, but I've also been known to say "Pray like it works, work like it doesn't." Solutions don't always involve money, just commitment. Sanctions should be phase starting now in to get some attention.

Noted, tweeted, shared, tweeted. Maybe the restrictions will help, but poor countries and people think more about survival than extinction. They don't realize they will be even poorer without the elephant.
