California's 'Ag-Gag' Bill Bites the Dust

The bill would have required anyone who witnessed animal cruelty to submit the evidence to law enforcement within 48 hours. Animal advocates argued the bill would prevent them from doing a thorough investigation

Thank Goodness we WON ONE!

Within the last two years, there have been numerous undercover investigations which have revealed contaminated food calling for one of the biggest hamburger meat recalls in the United States; that meat sold to school districts for children's lunch programs. Also investigated was the despicable horse soring in Tennessee, Wyoming pig farm cruelty, and in Vermont where veal calves were being skinned alive - a direct violation of all humane acts during slaughter.

All of these investigations led to criminal convictions, and in some cases the facilities were shut down. Now some of the farm states want humane organization workers to be placed on a "terrorist registry" for investigating farm animal cruelty.

According to the New York Times, farm states such as Iowa, Utah, and Missouri have passed legislation making undercover investigations impossible. Indiana and Tennessee have drafted similar bills.

I am on the "eco-terrorist" List, as is Sierra, Chris, Krys, Steve, the whole team is... sad, pathetic, and totally uncalled for to be targeted as a criminal for standing up against poachers and animals rights. We are all now labeled as anti-government and considered threats to security
