Anouk's page is very educational, for those who can't handle graphic scenes of animal abuse, please just read her blogs in the top right hand corner.

Go Kathy!! I am with ya!! TY for the info.... I have been to China, their Government does not even care for their own people little lone the animals.
"Teach your children well
Their father's hell
Will slowly go by
And feed them on your dreams
The one they pick
The one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why
If they told you, you would cry
So just look at them and sigh
And know they love you"
(Can you hear and do you care
And can't you see we must be free
To teach our children what you believe in
Make a world that we can believe in.)

beyond comprehension - the more and more I see - I just can not comprehend how humans can be so cruel!!! Just can't. Where is empathy and compassion for all living and feeling beings? It does not matter if animal or human - why be cruel? Why make this choice to be cruel, when one can be kind and gentle? Why seek the dark adn evil when light and love could be yours?

This is so horrific and it is beyond me why China is still involved with trade and other countries. They are an evil society that continues to have no regard for life....Thanks Kathy for the e mail..noted.

There was an incident a few years back of a single act of cruelty against an innocent kitten by a Chinese nurse that was filmed and put on the internet. It is NOT all of the Chinese people. Those that saw it were so outraged tht they tracked this woman down and she was fired off of her job and the documenter arrested, as it should have been. Mass campaigns need to be launched until enough pressure is put on the Chinese government to stop the outrageous human and animal rights violations.

Thank you, Kathy, for continuing to keep this at the forefront of daily news......

In every place in every part of the world there are people who do respect animals. And they just like me know its not just the bad people in their areas, its the ones who encourage them and make money from it in the process that keeps their evils of their hearts beating. To stop animal cruelty you have to end animal exploitation altogether. You have to show others that eating and using animals is truly wrong. To exploit life is evil. When one sees and or hears a yelp or scream thats proof enough to show animals are living beings. If one cannot see that then they show signs of evil intent and expresses they have no regard for life.
If you all want to help stop this start showing the way and go vegan not just because I ask you to but its why I ask you to.
Show people in your area you know that humans do not live off animals or their suffering. Show this with understanding but not anger, show them and let them see what you stand for. If they deny or retaliate then leave them be. Show them and let them think about it.

A better solution might be to NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CHINA. NO-THING.
The athletes have trained all their lives for these moments. Is it fair to them to boycott the games? Frankly, I wasn't planning on attending. Were you? That doesn't mean I won't honor the athletes.
China has maneuvered it's manufacturing sector to where almost everything for sale in this country is from them. The best way to get their attention is to not give them our dollars. Don't buy their crap.

I hate China, I will never ever visit there and some people in this world are so ignorant about it , my cousin thinks the people in China have it made because he talked to a business man from China who told him they are happy if they get $2.00 a day because that is enough for them to live off of. Sorry about getting off of the subject, stupid people make me angry.

The Chinese government's utter disregard for animals, the environment, human rights, and civil liberties has motivated me to avoid the "Made in China" label. You can also count me in as another Care2-er who will never visit that country. Absolutely shameful!

Kathy, thank you for this posting, this is one of the sites I lost! I am sending you a star and a hug!
and OH YEAH I will boycot this olympics, I won't watch any of it, I won't even watch the commercials. I am also sorry for the athletes, but sorrier for the abused and the murdered. the athletes and all involved could have made the biggest statement by saying they boycott this event, too. it is still me me me first, if so many people stopped thinking of their own wants and considered the pain and suffering of others, we would have far less to do here.

I can't believe that China was chosen to host the Olympics. It is a filthy dirty place and the culture (if you can call it that) has complete disregard for animals and in many cases even other people. Their behaviour is so often utterly DISGUSTING! I'll find it very easy to boycott watching the Olympics! I do feel sorry for the athletes! They will have to subject their bodies to such filth and so many people will not see them perform their once in a lifetime event because of boycotting. It is all so sad and all because of poor judgement by the OIC. SHAME on them!

This is so wrong, it makes me sick! The only saving grace is that they also have animal rights activists as portrayed on that site. Obviously they are barbaric but it's not all of them as in it's not all canadians clubbing the seals! What can we do? BTW the US is borrowing loads of money from China. Thanks and noted.

SHOCKING....SHOCKING...oh so...SHOCKING!! China's absolute disregard for animal life is barbaric..atrocious....wicked...and on and on....We MUST continue to advocate against this country. Look at EVERY label on every product you intend on buying and PUT IT BACK on the shelf if it reads: 'MADE IN CHINA'. I realize that many people in China love animals and do not condone this horror...but...we MUST try to right....what is horribly wrong...

Education is the what is needed in China and many other countries.
Britain is boycotting the Olympics, I'm sure they would have happily put up an Olympic type competition there for the athletes if they'd just stood the ground for what the Olympics were created for. China doesn't qualify for a country to hold the Olympics. And Maggi that was that chick who had a And Maggi that was that chick who had a fetish of crushing baby animals with her heels. (I had to look that one up and learn about it) made me sick. The videos have been 86ed thank goodness. Here is what I could still find so other understand the horror of this sickness. There is more on the site I'm pasting here.

http://www.trevvy.com/sgboyx/index.php?showtopic=27310&mode=linearplus

In one, a scantily clad woman with Chinese features posed with a small kitten along a riverbank, at first gently caressing the animal's fur. She then began stomping on the kitten with her high-heeled shoes, crushing its body and head and leaving it in a lifeless, bloody heap.

One Website, www.crushworld.net, was shut down after a Chinese newspaper contacted it to complain, and animal lovers left numerous angry messages on some of the other Crush sites.

He Yong, a spokesman for the Beijing office of the International Fund for Animal Welfare, said these videos point up the need for laws preventing cruelty to animals. China's present legislation is too vague to be much good, critics say.

Why did China even get the nomination for the Olympics? I certanly would NEVER have agreed to them hosting anything for me....
