Thanks Morgan lets hope that your money is safe ! I still remember the last few bubbles and this aint over yet...somebody has to pay the price.....TAX PAYERS DO USUALLY not the big bosses of the banks who caused this misory!

I personally do not see why there are not a whole lot of upper echelon managers of businesses that contributed to this mess in jail, and not doing cushy Fed time either. This is not white collar crime-this is a crime against humanity for people are suffering, they are really suffering.

Well, I don't have any money anywhere except my retirement fund with TIAA-CREF, which is shrinking rather growing. I just switched all my allocations into the most steady and conservative funds...we shall see if I end up with anything at all for my glorious old age.

Washington Mutual has changed business practice right after they knew they made bad loans and raised all prices and found ways to charge for things they didn't before. I don't expect it to be around long and it will kill us up here if they pull our or sell. It is far from over, I am afraid. I am currently shopping for another place for social security and pension to go to, probably a credit union. Just don't trust any of them anymore until some regulations are put into place.
