Thank you all for noting. When I got this news this morning I was so excited I couldn't even breathe. I couldn't wait to let you all know. Yup Brenda, hard work does have its rewards. My heart sings when it thinks that soon no more horses will have to go through the hell of slaughter. My heart is overflowing. Thank all of you who have worked so hard along with me on this issue. Brenda, we met over the horses and through the horses I know we are both smiling. It's not a true done deal yet but it's sure getting closer. Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!

Aba this is awesome and it shows the power of solidarity. I did however receive news from America Humane which showed starving horses if anyone wants to go there to donate.

Great news, but Who is going to decide if a horse is fit enough to be transported? The owners? The Vets? or who? That could be important. The Vets never seem to stand up for animals,they are always quiet, because they are afraid of losing customers and money. Most of them are weak characters, that don't speak up for animals. Heck they don't even tell pet owners the truth, such as your dog could get well, if you would put him on a natural diet. Or you won't need the antibiotics or the cortisone if you try this or that......You get the gist. So I don't have much faith, when it comes to that rule, that horses are not to be transported if they are not fit or lame. What do you think?

This is progress and I wish that Australia had some legislation. I do however share Bea's fears - vets make a lot of money from racing clients

Yes Bea unfortunately where money is to be made there is always soulless people who will take advantage. We are going to fight once again this year to pass the Horse Anti-slaughter bill which will make it illegal to participate in any manner in the sale or transport of horses to slaughter We have already closed the foreign owned slaughterhouses here in the US and now we will stop the transport to Canada and Mexico. This bill will also allow for confiscation of assets and felony charges to those that participate. Pray for this to happen in the next congressional session.
