The Bush administration has just eliminated federal protections for wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies, opening the door to the slaughter of hundreds of America's most beloved wolves.

This is such a sad day for wolves - we have spent so much time and money reintroducing wolves to the Greater Yellowstone region, and now in its last year the Bush administration is going to allow the states of Idaho and Wyoming to kill 80% of all the wild wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies. I just don't understand their bloodthirsty quest to kill wolves.

Please spread the word and ask anyone you know who cares about wolves to sign this petition - thank you!

Total rot! How much cruelty does it take to prove manhood?
Sorry, but that is how I feel.

I am so horrified. I cannot believe how so few people can do so much damage. It's completely unjust.

I guess Dick Cheney wants to make sure all wildlife in this country is gone before he leaves the vice presidency next year.

T. Hobs said:"Homo homini lupus est!", meaning that human behave wildly and brutal to each other - as wolves! What a lie , used by centuries! We could learn from wolves, survivors, loyal to each other, so beautiful , free and proud! saving them , as well as other spieces we save ourselves

Wolves will ALWAYS be endangered unless protected because people (i.e., ranchers, lycophobics) LOVE TO KILL THEM.

This makes me sick. I can't believe that Pres. Bush is squashing every effort made is the last decade or more to preserve these wonderful animals. That's why they were put in Yellowstone in the fist place! Today is a sad day. I'm embarrassed to be a human.

It takes every inch of BEING not to be destroyed by this "sick" news. For years dogs with significant wolf in them have been my soul's companions - they have been such a great gift. HOW IS THIS ADMINITRATION DOING THIS??? IT SIMPLY CANNOT BE. Combined with destruction of "pit bulls," also known for their ability to defend their master "to the death," this administration is KILLING ALL OF OUR PROTECTIVE COMPANIONS, and in the case of wolves, those who have the right to be HERE IN NORTH AMERICA more than humans, frankly. Once there existed millions - it took 20 years of hard, hard, dedicated work to return them to the tiny population they now are. Personally, I believe all the administration is doing to DESTROY NATURE, is to ATTACT OUR VERY OWN PSYCHES. Goddess bless.

I, for once, have no words for what I am feeling and if started would take up too much bandwidth. I cannot beleive it has come to this. God Bless the wolves and other wild creatures that are helpless and doomed in favor of human's reckless carnage and unfounded hatred.

This administration has proved time and again that it does not listen and does not care. They also seem hell-bent on pissing people off.
Isn't the Yellowstone area supposed to be something of a sanctuary for wildlife??
I signed, and am forwarding the petition.

interesting that canada and u.s. are coordinating their 'kill the wolves' mentality. there will be lots of rich hunters out to hunt one of the few, true, wild, beautiful predators left in the u.s. Then the local machos out to prove their manhood - i've met this kind and most are true rednecks with little education.. then the trappers to get valuable pelts. This is utterly gruesome.
