All but one of 22 Palestinian villages refuse connection to a sewage line, the Environmental Protection Ministry says. Instead, they will continue to let their sewerage flow into the aquifer below.

So it is true then - the Palestinians really are still in stone age limbo.

The Israelis shouldn't be so democratic. It's not appreciated. I wouldn't give them a choice.

Anything to make a point. Utterly ridiculous! Petty politics come before environmental responsibility. Says a lot for the 'Palestinian Entity's' mentality.

Thanks for posting, R&J. As someone else asked, "Where are the Left and the Greens? Why they are not criticizing the Arabs? If it was the Jews refusing to hook up to proper sewage lines, the BBC and CNN would have a long expose against Israel on a non-stop bases for polluting nature."

There should be a policy of no water without proper sewage treatment. It's just another sign that the Palestanis don't consider this land their own.

Why would anyone prefer to live in their own WASTE and make others have to deal with their raw sewage?

You would think they would at least want their own children to have a better life, live in a clean environment & have proper sanitation!

Of course, if they did let the Israeli government improve their lives, they wouldn't be able to complain about the "Wretched conditions" of their "refugee camps" and accuse the Israelis of all sorts of "atrocities". They wouldn't be able to harp on the "Palestinian question" or the "Occupation" ...

Who's to blame if they have "substandard living conditions"?
