Those 2 should be shot with a pellet gun each 17 times in the head!

The CBC website had an update on this earlier today.

"The lawyer for the teen accused of shooting a cat in the head 17 times with a pellet gun says the court and public are overreacting." (article)

The photo on CBC shows the cat's x-ray, where every one of those 17 pellets lodged in that poor cat's head.

Glad they were caught, but our animal cruelty laws are so slack, they'll probably just get a fine and a slap on the wrist. They should be locked up for life.

The attorney who claims overreaction should be shot in the head with pellets, same for those evil POS teens.

Glad he was caught, animal cruelty laws need to be more harsh. This sort of thing needs to stop and not be tolerated

A law should mandate that when a person is convicted of animal cruelty he should be incarcerated and psychoanalyzed. I think there is a chance that a person who, is cruel to animals, is suffering from Mental Illness.

Animal cruelty-it was attempted murder. The standards for humans and animals are so different. I would ask why but I know the answer-they are mere animals and we are the sacred species. I'm glad they caught them although the punishment will never fit the crime and they will never learn about the true wings called animals. They are mere human animals-the dangerous one.s

Seeing any living being suffer distresses me, but in cases like this, I actually think I could take a pellet gun and shoot the perpetrators in the face and head until they need to have their eyes removed. That is what they deserve and the only thing they will understand. Eye injuries are extremely painful, and now the innocent cat has only one eye. It's outrageous that the attorney thinks people are overreacting. Let this happen to him or his loved ones and see how he feels.

No one gives a crap what this lawyer thinks, would he say the same thing, if he way shot in the head? Lawyers are a huge PROBLEM in this country

Now that we have them, let's spray them with at least 17 pellets each, and forget to remove the pellets.

O don't know why anyone would want to shoot a cat! (Well, actually, I know several people who don't like cats, but to shoot one is further than even they would go. My point is that it's cruel and unjust to pick on people smaller than you, and similarly, it is cruel and unkind to shoot a small animal. (Never mind my position on firearms.)

Sick POS. I think an eye for eye would be fair to do to those scums that could hurt this innocent victim. We don't need lowlifes like this walking around the streets.

Cats always seem to be a target for teenagers and in this case young men to try out their guns! I hope they get the maximum penalty to stop anyone else from doing the same. Poor cats, I hope they survive and have homes.

I"m glad they were caught, but based on the attorney's comments, it is likely they will receive very light sentences, and be back out to keep destroying more and more until it's a human that seems like a good target. Disgusting!

Useless humans. Hope Canada adopts gun control. People like this, who have no regard for life are people who shouldn't have guns. Hope Canada adopts a new law that makes those who abuse and mames an animal hold them responsible financially for the animals medical care and for their care for the rest of the animals life,
