Thank you, Judith, for commenting and all of you for noting this excellent news. This is not the new trial, mind you, but merely the opportunity to argue on Troy's behalf for a new trial. At least that is a step in the right direction.

As I near our court date against The Johnnie Cochran Firm, I find less and less things function on the websites I use. I would put the link to our organization here, but I was told it does not work. WE MUST BE ACCOMPLISHING SOMETING IN OUR GROUP!

We advocate against the death penalty for mentally ill people, children, and folks whose guilt was never proved. We advocate for jail release for mental patients - treatment, not prison!

Read about my case against The Cochran Firm here - much computer trouble nowadays! Court date coming up soon.

Care2, I think you have good reason to pat yourselves on the back on this one! You are a big part of Troy's success in winning this victory on the road to freedom.

You Noted his news, you contacted your representatives, you signed his petitions, you prayed, some of you cried for this man and the lack of justice.

Well here you are, Care2! JOB WELL DONE! Troy is very grateful.

Thank you, Care2News Network, for this forum to reach people around the world and gather support for Troy Davis and others who suffer. Care2 enables its members to know about and to help with human rights struggles in many different countries.

I appreciate this forum as our Care2 human rights group, ASSISTANCE TO THE INCARCERATED MENTALLY ILL continues to advocate against the inhumane practice of criminalizing mental illness in order to boost profits to private prison profiteers. Please look for our group among Care2's human rights groups.

This article on Troy Davis has made Care2's FRONT PAGE! Thank you, Care2 members for supporting this effort to win a new trial for Troy.

Blessings on you and your families this Thanksgiving. Remember those in hospitals and prisons and on the street while you enjoy God's bounty with your loved ones and friends.

Be blessed,

Mary, thank you for your dedication. The sad thing is, as I believe you alluded to, was the deeper our commitment, the darker is the 'big brother' response. The computer, the phones, if we speak up they interfere with that process. Noted.

That's really good news! Let's hope and pray that this is indeed the light at the end of the tunnel for Troy. I shall, as we Quakers say, hold him in the light.
