We thank you for your compassion for our national treasures--native wild horses and burros who need your help. They need your urgent attention to survive the summer--captive in the federally funded corrals. They need #Shade4Mustangs and burros.

Poor wild horses and burros. Something has to be done.

And why are these animals rounded up and corralled with no shade? Because they compete for natural resources with beef ranchers. That's also why big predators are taken out. And little ones too like prairie dogs. Little is really natural anymore in the US.

Already signed several days ago, but people should understand it's about more than no shade. Nature, left to its own devices is remarkable in its ability to have balance. It did not create humans for that purpose.

I signed this. a few days back I commented that it actually is quite affordable to bring some kind of shade to these "Captive" horses. They are being held and so they need provisions.

They can use very cheap wood and build a barn or a couple and this should not cost a lot and it can be done in a couple of days at the most. This should have been a part of their responsibility when they took on having "Captive" horses that cannot run anywhere or find shade. It's cheap to feed horses or care for them. BUT come on sheleter is of course a necessity..... There is cheap good wood that can be used. They are huddled together at this point. Even a couple tents with lots of water at least. (Super cheap) would be great until better affordable options are made/finished. A couple of indutrial fans or something like it with tents for now can take at least 10 degrees off of them and NO direct sun . They need options of shade ASAP! Otherwise this is Animal cruelty !!!!

Thank You for Petition link and article again. I noticed signature numbers are getting much hgher but if anyone knows anyone else to contact or live near them , maybe you could try helping or post those contacts.

Syd , In nature these horses would still have a better chance at finding shelter.

Your post was not bad. I don't want you to be offended. I don't think people give a damn about these horses. Well,Obviously so far they do not. Even if they sell them for horrible reasons ,why would they sell them in bad condition. That makes no sense either but sure they would. If they are held captive ,they can certainly be provided with some tents or something affordable. This is NOT a natural situation . If it was some may die from this naturally . That would make me sad too but different situation.

Humans act like they can do anything they want to those who do not speak. There was never a right given to them. They just took it.....

PrimaAWAY B, that was my point. We have taken them out of nature because they compete for natural resources with the unnaturally introduced beef cattle of ranchers.

People do not realize that is why the horses are rounded up. They get brain-washed into the idea it's for the best interests of the herds when it has nothing to do with helping horses.

Anyway, one of the commenters for the petition at the time I signed also said that Solar Panels would make great shade and be productive at the same time. Great semi-solution to a another man-made problem.

The BLM is nothing but a murdering, money-grabbing, profiteering travesty. They are in the pay-pockets of their 'fat-assed' friends, the cattle ranchers and the kill-buyers. The BLM has no conscience, it has NO compassion, it has NO empathy and it certainly has NO moral ethics when it comes to the lives, welfare and treatment of the wild mustangs and burros. Their motto is 'the only good mustang or burro is a slaughtered one' That sums up their feelings exactly. Shame on the BLM.

Noted and signed - this is so so necessary - how would these rubbishes like to be left out in the hot sun all day long - perhaps they should give it a try so that they can feel what these poor animals have to feel.
