Please have a say, they are not artists to me, pure utter cruelty, Controversial artists target animal cruelty and society. But do they go too far? ... In a provocative post on WebEcoist, Muhammad Saleem excoriates artists for apparent

They are not artists, bloody cruel is all they are. There is nothing 'artistic' about starving a dog, about animal suffering. They are full of #### these people. Bloody disgusting.

I just want to put this disgusting scumbag who thinks he is an artist and all the people who viewed this and did nothing, in the poor dogs place. Now that would be art.

I think this so called form of art is sick and disgusting. It doesn't show any artistic talent just the opposite. There should be a law against it. Surely it mus be animal cruelty.

The so called 'artist' of the starved dog should be chained, wiped and starved himself. Now that would be useful since the world is already overpopulated with mentally sick people who abuse animals. Animal cruelty leads to human creulty so this 'artist' and all his supporters are probably rapists and pedophiles in the making.

Agree everybody. I am completely sick and tired of these people. This is evil depravity, there should be laws to stop this, what I can not believe is that these 'scums' are usually given grants for this!!! Given money to torture animals. It's not art, it's bloody evil cruelty.

There is a calculated, cold blooded, psychopathic undercurrent to this so called artistic expression that chills me to the bone. God help us. If art is a reflection of society and its values, and if this is the latest, God indeed help us.

These monsters hide behind the term "artist" but in reality they are nothing more than cruel, heartless, sadistic beasts with no moral conscience whatsoever!

This is the devil's work! What I can't understand is WHY CAN'T GOD STOP IT!? I pray to him all the time telling him about all the horrific cruelty that animals ARE FORCED to ENDURE, all the time, as if he doesn't already know. The Good Book tells us that in the end-our own personal end-God's reasons will be revealed to us. But what about our ANIMALS!? I'm so ANGRY WITH GOD! Thanks Simone.

Dear Barb, true: this is the devil's work. And this is truly showing the measure of God's mercy which needs to reach full measure before full justice can be met: the very day that restoration and resurrection will come to the innocent. Hang in there Barb... every child gets mad at his/her Father. All of creation groans under the weight of man's arrogance. Mankind assumes he is free to use and experience creation untill nothing is left, as a perk to his existance on earth, believing that a limitless scope is allowed regarding his action and experience as a full rightful inheritance, yet the Creator is bigger than the creation. Man is but a speck of dust in the universe. The incredible fathomless complexity and beauty of creation holds the very promise that the end will be better than the beginning and that the end is not ever up to man, even if he fully captures the darkest shades of his imagination - I am convinced that we can fully embrace hope, dear Barb. Big HUG.

I recognized that from the year 1976 everything began to change for the extreme. Heavy Metal turned up, suddenly came punk, pornography became a medium to talk about in public, John Lennon asked to have sex on the road and the F-word became one of the most important words in the American language. It was like someone just had dropped a bomb to make everything more extreme. In the eighties music and youthgroups devided. Suddenly there were not only punks. They split into several more extreme groups. From Heavy Metal came Death Metal, Grunge, Dark Metal, Noise and much more shit. In the nineties then another extreme, Techno and Rap. The same development I saw in the society. Values were turned into someting bad, and bad things into something 'cool'.Today we are living on the edge. I wonder where this could go too. The development with arts was the same. Meanwhile even a priest confirmed that showing a dying person in a museum as art would be acceptable. Young people do not talk about love anymore. If so they mean sex. Guess I am 'the fool on the hill'.

It is not art, it is cruelty in the extreme. I very much agree with you John. Our societies are dumbed down by the music, videos, movies and the importance of being available at a moment's notice. Governments revel in this because it can push through bad legislation with respect to the detriment of the environment and wildlife with little opposition. example, the so called entertainment/sports folk with their phony values and large incomes are revered and copied by their extensive groups of fans. these "star" willingly take their money but give little, if anything back to society. so, being a disposable, narcisstic society with little value for any life, cruelty seems to rule supreme and spun with an "artistic" approach makes it palatable. if you cannot respect yourself, how on earth can you respect the rights of others, Is there room on that hill for me, John Homeless?

I was raised and also made a promise not to hurt humans. But my gosh, i wouldn't hesitate a minute if such an "Artist" stould in front of me. I would release my energy, madness and art on to them.I would seriously kick some ass and more !!!

Even asking if this is art is ridiculous. This is a no-talent hack with no soul.

If killing animals is a form of art, so is killing humans, so is destroying the world and so is every sick-minded scheme. Stop taking lives in the excuse of art. There's no justification in killing these lives.

After visiting the site this poor dog is on, I read how these so called artist's tried to talk their way out of these so called art exhibits, 'COME ON YOU LOW LIFE SCUM TELL THE TRUTH, YOU WILL DO JUST ABOUT ANYTHING FOR MONEY, YOU SHOULD BE MADE TO SUFFER AND PAY THE PRICE FOR WHAT YOU ARE DOING'.
There is just no excuse at all for what these sick, evil, twisted so called human beings are doing.
