After finding out that Renninger's Farmers and Flea Market in Mount Dora, Florida, was offering rides on a female African elephant named Nosey, we immediately contacted the manager and alerted him to the dangers that elephant rides pose to both elephants

We have come a very long way. 35 years ago the OKC Zoo gave children rides on a very old female elephant they named Judy. I was one child who rode her more than once. Now it saddens me to think she was made to give rides for hours on end, every day for entertainment...I am sure she wanted to rest and relax in her natural ways. Education is key.
