Sometimes you just have to wonder where their brains are when they do stupid things like that. Glad the dog is going to be alright. And,am glad they took the dog away from her! She doesn't deserve him. Hoping she learned a lesson.
Thanks Simone.

Sadly this is a common occurrence. Every year, dogs die after being locked inside cars while their owners shop or run other errands. These tragic deaths are entirely preventable.

A dog’s normal body temperature ranges from 101 to 102.5 degrees. Dogs can withstand a body temperature of 107 to 108 degrees for only a short time before suffering organ failure, brain damage — or even death.

The My Dog is Cool Campaign operated by United Animal Nations lets people know that leaving a dog in a car for even “just a few minutes” may be too long.

Yes I had gotten flyers just for that reason and in the summer I go around and put them on the windows of cars with dogs, but I stay and monitor the dog or go into the store to have them page the person. One time a little dog was left inside the was an older car so had 'Wind Wings' and the little dog was trying desperately to squeeze itself out through that tiny window, so my sister and myself went over and were trying to help it and just about ready to try and break the window when the woman came out of the store..We gave her heck and told her how fast the dog could die. Leave them at home rather than subject them to suffering or death. Stupid humans!

Just another low-life that is too self-absorbed to have a pet. Hope they throw the book at her.

Joycey B:

Why not in a hot car with the windows locked, parked just outside of Boynton Beach Mall with no credit cards, cash, water or car keys! ! !

An eye for an eye! Do the same to her (and anyone else who thinks it is OK to leave pets in hot cars) and see how she likes it. What a sad, pathetic person she is.

Here we go again. Now it's summer time again, We are going to hear more about animals being left in hot cars while these ignorant people go about their day. Her butt needs to be left in a car for a couple of hours to see how it feels.

She must be very uncaring towards her pets. I would always put them first. Maybe she is just plain thoughtless and did not realize how awful this would be for the dog.
I hope she at least regrets her actions.

We are starting A Citizens Animal Patrol in our city. Volunteers will go to malls and other places where there are large parking lots and walk up and down the aisles looking for locked in dogs and cats. When we find them we immediately call Animal Control or the police and have the animal taken away. The owner will be fined and have to pay an impound fee if they dont return to their car before Animal Control leaves with their pet. As they say, "Money talks and bullsh*t walks." Maybe paying a steep fine will stop these idiots from this horrific behavior.
