Thank God they kept phtographers from taking photos, just reading this horrific story I have tears in my eyes. These are Marine Mammals who think and feel, so I have to wonder about the few whales that were able to escape. What must they have felt in losing so many of their family/pods?

The whales have such sensitive hearing that the testing done even at a distance can have a very detrimental effect on them.

Will we humans not be satisfied till we kill off the oceans, cut down all the forests, turn our drinking water into sewage? When do we start doing something?!

This is irreparable loss to the marine community in general and whales in particular.

A sad day for the whales & volunteers.
It's such a pity the cause of strandings is still unknown - or is proven to be naval sonar - so something is done to prevent these tragedies. They occur all too frequently around the globe.

This action was a bloody disgrace and was not justified by any means.I had just read about the tradgety on the website of Sea Shepherd and was stunned by the pure cruelty of all. Apparently Mike Myers was going about this bloody slaughter with a huge smile on his face. There is a petition on the Sea Shepherd site asking people to to sign it.This is to the South African Government asking for the immediate sacking of this butcher. Somtimes I despair at my fellow man and his infinnity for the killing and destruction of our planet and the animals who live upon it, but I always am comforted by the ledgend of the Hopi Indians of North America. This legend states " There will come a time when the Earth grows sick and when it does a tribe will gather from all the cultures of the World who believe in deed and not words. They will work to heal it...they will be known as the Warriors of the Rainbow".Hence the Greenpeace Ship Rainbow Warrior.Do you believe in this prophesy do you believe in the Rainbow Warriors ... if you wish to see them stand in front of a mirror and you will.

I'm certain that all the nuclear testing being done in the Pacific Ocean by North Korea must be effecting ALL wildlife in the ALL oceans. Cause and effect. God help us all.

This is another sad commentary to our nonsense. We may have caused this. We decide they must die. Whether it is an "official" , some self inflated academic, or just some idiot - its best for them - we kill, kill, kill, kill as an option. What hubris.

We just walked around in space. Don't tell me we cannot help these dolphins !!!!!
