Yet there are already several cases on the docket for this year's term, scheduled to start on Monday, that are both important and actually really interesting.

I only hope the courts can stop this once and for all instead of footing around with the intentions of not doing so..
Political management of the Court system is well enough dead.

Pray for our animals I think they are going to need it. With dumb people like Justice Scalia on the board, anything could happen, because he doesn't believe that we have the right to tell anyone what to watch, wonder if it was his dog, cat, pet, he would feel the same way. This law was already passed before during Clinton's time, why are wasting all this again. Dog fighting is illegal, so if someone films dogs fighting are they not doing an illegal thing? The film looks like it would just be evidence to me to charge him with animal cruelty which is illegal

It will be interesting to see how the justices balance free speech with cruelty to animals. e.g. dogfighting is illegal in all 50 states, so how can you video an illegal activity, and display/sell the results without breaching some law or other?

"e.g. dogfighting is illegal in all 50 states, so how can you video an illegal activity,"
As someone who trained law enforcement personnel for years in self-defense and criminal activity detection which included watching many videos which depicted actual criminal activities, I have to find that statement very naive. These videos were not free by the way.
The problem with this law is not that dog-fighting videos should be restricted, but that the law is incredibly vague as to what is actually prohibited.
