What a great day for us animal lovers for this good news.Hail to all Irish people for making this happen. The fur trade belongs to the dark ages and not in our times. But we will continue our efforts to push for the other offending countries to put end this vile trade. Thanks Simone.

Perhaps the UK will follow Ireland rather than attempting to drag us back into the dark ages of animal cruelty!

I would not like celebrate too soon on this one. I think a lot of hype has gone into this for their own ends. Ending of fur farming in three years. What is stopping them ending this barbaric cruelty immediately...money! Three more years of horrific suffering. Why has Governments to be begged, petitioned etc, to end cruelty of any form. I have sent emails to the Green party about animal cruelty, and they have all been deleted without being read, that tells me a lot! One of the emails to the Min.of Agriculture sent yesterday about Fur farming has been deleted without being read. Meantime our animals continue to suffer.
