Even if the cat was born here, they are here in the US to be bred with domestic house cats to create a hybrid Savannah, another stylish breed for sick humans to show off and if the cats act up or don't just scratch the $6000.- couch but tear up the entire house and injure humans they are killed. BigCatRescue gets several e-mails per day with questions on how to deal with the hybrids that human idiots bought as cute kittens and are now all grown up or requests to please take them because the Bengal didn't turn out as planned with exotic coloring and domestic temerament but vice versa, tough luck. And on top of that some cat groups here on care2 show off the Savannah as an oh so beautiful kitty cat that is just about as close to wildcat as a pet as one can get in California. This needs to be OUTLAWED in all US states!!!!!
If you wish to have a wild cat as a companion then please feed and TNR your local feral cat colony and give them love and respect and decent care. Spend the thousands of dollars you wish to spend on a cat from a Frankenstein breeder instead on healthy cat food for your ferals. There are 50-100 million in the US and the last thing they and we need is an abandoned Savannah or Bengal to fight over food with.
