Conservatives could create a new regulatory body for fox-hunting to reassure voters that animal suffering will be minimised if Labour's ban is repealed, shadow environment secretary Nick Herbert suggested today.

Animal suffering would be minimised????????

I want to puke now.

How in God's name can a nation that calls itself civilised vote for a repeal against fox hunting ban?

What a waste of oxygen - may these voters who want the ban repealed go straight to hell.

The only reason the would be next leader of the UK wants to repeal the hunting ban is to get the support of the rich that can put him into number 10. British politics is at an all time low with a right wing labour party in power and left right, left right, turn it all about conservative party waiting in the wings. They have probably been watching to much come dancing and got locked into the Hokie Cokie. Do they seriously believe we want a Ministry of Foxhunting which what their idea appears to be. More jobs for the boys and more blood guts for the depraved. Why don't they just get a bag of blue pills before the hunt ball rather than tearing foxes etc to pieces to get their weapons primed so to speak! Minimise animal sufferring what complete and utter tripe but that's politic speak folks! Come on Eureka the puke bucket overfloweth considerably and hopefully the British public are not so foolish to be sucked in by these twits! Perhaps they will trip over their own tumescence! No I'm voting for the Monster Raving Loony Party and I want a Ministry of Silly Walks as per Monty Python NB there was such a party and it was headed by Screaming Lord Sutch, sadly deceased!http://www.loonyparty.com/index.php?page=homepage2 They appear to still exist!

The Tories want to take us back to the dark ages. While they're there, maybe they shoud bring back castration as well. After all, stupidity seems to be the name of their game.

I have been following this for about eight years. The primary fight is over class - the wealthy British engage in sport that is not open to the public.

For example, hunting in England is still going on strong - and everyone participates, including poor people.

That being said, I oppose hunting except for food.

Here is a good solution: allow people to 'hunt', without hunting. they can ride around wearing their fancy clothes, engage in clubs not open to the public.

Then we can see whether the oppostion is about the life of a fox or really about money and wealth.
