Amen, Shevlin! And how many times do the people have to rise up and say "stop! we don't want this" for the authorities to pay attention? Just another example of how unresponsive and unaccountable our govt. has bacome.

Amen -Shevlin and Leslie. The BLM has not done a good job in protecting our precious legacy - the wild horses of the West. Instead of managing the herds with some type of contraceptive, they took the easy way out and auctioned surplus horses to largely slaughterhouse buyers who snapped them up for the tables of Japan and Europe. This is especially cruel because horses are large animals to slaughter and they do suffer. Why aren't they working with Madeline Pickens who was purported to have stated that she will buy many acres of land to relocate many of them. The BLM were supposed to have been working with her on this. Any news on this front?

The BLM refused to negotiate any further with Madeline Pickens, they showed no interest in any solution with her. But what really gets me is that the BLM is committing a violation of the federal law by removing the wild horses. The mustangs have and are protected under the 1971 Wild Horse and Burro Act! with regards to the land that they live on. It is theirs not stinking BLM!

The greedy, lying, RICH, BLM needs to leave our legacy of wild burros and mustangs alone! They have been roaming wild for years. It is our land, not their's. They have done enough cruel harm, thousands in holding pens that they want to send to slaughter. Everyone needs to speak out and write your senators, etc.

should send the hotshot at the BLM to spain,they'd prolly love it there they'd fit right in with the donkey trash!and yet they let the fat cat ranchers feed there cows for free!on public land and i'll bet there is not one penny of there profit returned to the public??and yet it's too expensive to keep the natural inhabitants there ??excuse me while i go toss me cookies!!i'd think they will sell them to the slaughter houses or too the countried who think of horse meat as a delicasy .sorry for the delay,tossing again!such strength and beauty,and all thy see is a nusance!! discusting!!
