In the early 70's Farley Mowat was sent into the north country by the Canadian Govt, to investigate the decimation of caribou herds by wolves, and he found that the killing for the most part was being done by PEOPLE, not the wolves...Wolves of course, only hunt what they need to live, not over-hunt and poach for money..He wrote a book about his expedition called "NEVER CRY WOLF"...and though it was written in the 70's...it is still relevant today...see if you all can find a copy of it or its resulting movie...and yes..noted and signed!

I wonder why people all over the world have this stupid purpose of killing wolves. They don't even have the excuse of their being edible. I'm vegan by the way. I've been signing petitions on wolf protection every day for several days now. It's sickening. I posted this on my Facebook page.

I am telling you the end is near. Every week some new Political organization announces new plans for killing Wolves. I believe The Wolf may be a more important and more valuable Animal than even we believe for the mere fact that all Governments and States are trying to eliminate Wolves. Sounds farfetched..I don't think so. I have never seen such bloodlust and evil surrounding the war being waged on Wolves. I guess it's time for some more brutal phone calls, my specialty. They can hand up all they want and then I hit them again. The WOLF must be protected.

Signed and noted. Here in the Catskills there have recently been sightings of wolves and mountain lions - I'm excited but also worried, not for my safety but theirs! We have a lot of trigger-happy hunters around here who are already agitating for a coyote hunt. I shudder to think what they'll do once the word gets around about wolves and cougars in our neck of the woods :-(

Noted and signed.....horrid news again for the poor wolves...why is it that people are so afraid of wolves? They are so much more than humans will ever be when it comes to family loyalty, love, protection, intelligence, beauty....I could go on and on...wolves keep our forests healthy and viable, they keep the wasting disease at bay, they strengthen the herds for elk and deer, they are so non threatening, yet people are continually killing them. Read "Of Wolves and Men" by Barry Lopez, and prepare to cry your eyes out...it's all true, all researched, and so sad what we do to wolves. We will reap what we sow someday.

Protecting wolves & all the killings of innocent animals can never get too much exposure! We need to keep it in the forefront continuously! Only then will the guilty parties, maybe realize & start listening & paying attention to the out cry of this barbaric insanity cruelty to all animal beings! I signed!
