It is a sad fact that the United States has not protected the human rights of children in private residential treatment and wilderness camps.

"Countless rebirths lie ahead, both good and bad. The effects of karma (actions) are inevitable, and in previous lifetimes we have accumulated negative karma which will inevitably have its fruition in this or future lives. Just as someone witnessed by police in a criminal act will eventually be caught and punished, so we too must face the consequences of faulty actions we have committed in the past, there is no way to be at ease; those actions are irreversible; we must eventually undergo their effects."
His Holiness the Dalai Lama, from 'Kindness, Clarity and Insight'
The shortest explanation of karma that I know is: 'you get what you give'. In other words; whatever you do intentionally to others, a similar thing will happen to yourself in the future.
Our largest obstacle to understanding or even believing in karma may be time. The 're-actions' or results of our actions show up with a time delay, and it becomes extremely hard to tell which action caused which result.

There has to be more oversight of the people that are left in charge when no one else is around. The case, not too long ago, of the teen age boy who said he did not feel well and could not continue to participate in the activity. He was forced to go on until he fell down and died. Those in charge made up all kinds of reasons to justify their actions and a young boy lost his life.

NOTED & SIGNED. A family member was abused at a "wilderness camp" working for the Department of Natural Resources, in a summer job. THERE MUST BE LAWS TO STOP THIS.

Children are adult people in little bodies & loved by God! Where does another human acquire the rights to abuse little children! Just because like animals they are innocent & defenseless & at most times voiceless that it make it OK in evil adults to abuse them! Just because human adults can, does not give you the right to abuse these little children! Only do to others what you can easily experience yourself! Abuse would stop NOW! Signed!

Signed. Thanks Simone.

Dee Hillier, I too am a follower of cause and effect, a believer in karma. But does that mean that we should sit back and let abuse and cruelty continue without speaking out against it?
I think not.
