El Paso, Texas, recently passed a new law in an effort to reduce the number of dogs and cats euthanized in the city by regulating the pet trade. This ordinance is actually a watered-down version of a proposed outright ban on the sale of cats and dogs

Petland did this to themselves and if they should continue on even more ppl will protest them. Flexing your attorneys will not stop those that fight for the animals and their rights.

Petland? I think a better name would be Greedy money loving pigs; oh I'm sorry my apologies to all pigs for associating them with these disgusting excuses for human beings.

Puppy mills are stopable if laws are passed. Petland is a corporate abuser of animals and the people that buy from them. In this country corporate abusers are not stopable, they are rewarded.

Why don't these huge corporations do something good or useful for a change? Like sponsoring animal rescue and adoptions?
But no, they continue to contribute to the overflowing shelters of abbandoned and unwanted pets, just so that they can make their profits and line their filthy pockets.

Signed and noted...and I added in the petition letter a line that let them know that "THE PUBLIC IS WATCHING"! Making $50 million off of innocent animals isn't enough for them? I wish them to crash and burn!

Signer 266 - thanks Simone. Seems to me Petland is trying to throw the focus off their own policies by suing rescue groups. Ridiculous!

generally "defamation" means that what is being said is untrue. i can't imagine that this lawsuit stands a snowball's chance in hell...i think the worst part of all of this is that these worthy causes are going to have to waste valuable time and resources on these sick greedy bastards.

Signed October 26th. The whole world is being lend/controlled by insane beings, how can any good actions possibly be the outcome! We have to continue to put in order when we continue to be bombarded with disorder! Pet shops/puppy mills should be all banned/outlawed & all rescued animals in shelters should be the only options for getting a pet & that they be spayed/neutered before being release to a forever loving home. Rescue groups are being attacked because of the interference they create for these pet-shops. Thanks Simone.

Signed! Petland is one of the single largest supporters of puppy mills-this suit is beyond an exercise in hypocrisy on thier part. Puppy mills should be banned on the federal level. In any case, the suit is more theater, in all likelihood, unless Petland can prove they don't sell puppy mill puppies; typical corporate tactic-file suit the good guys need to defend, at enormous cost.
