Many people will be drawn to this movie, which takes place in a Depression-era circus where brutalities are inflicted on human and non-human animals. As an historical romance, they will think about how sad it "used to be" and how much better everything

The picture of this liittle elephant on the stool with that smirking idiot on the right, is enough to break your heart without even reading the article! How CAN people use animals in this way! What I would love to see is not ONE person going to see that rotten movie! When it comes to animal abuse issues, some people seem to have a brain that is quite large, but it isn't plugged in! If this film resurrects interest in circues, then it will be morally disgusting! Why are there such 'sick' people in the world? GRRRR!

Thanks. I understand the story is about animal abuse, and I don't know why people would want to see it.

I had no idea what this movie is about. I will certainly not go to see it. Animal abuse and advocating for all abused creatures is my mission in life.

I just read the book. Not only were the animals abused, so were the people. It was very interesting & disturbing. It's sad to know the animal abuse still thrives. Thanx Simone.
