Shame on the government's actions at this time of great tragedy, How can they sleep soundly at night knowing they have sentenced all animals to a long, lingering, painful death through illness or starvation. What has happened to compassion and moral ethics, at least allow rescue attempts or humane euthanasia to end the unneccessary suffering. Perhaps they are hoping that if they wait long enough, all the animals will have died anyway and they won't have to act at all. Shame on them.
