The fact that the population can withstand losing 20 of its' members is hardly grounds for slaughter. What I fail to undeerstand is who gets a kick out of killing another living being simply for the 'sport'. I have a piece of advice for these people - take up football!

Life among the mutant muggles is exasperating.

"There is just one hope for repulsing the tyrannical ambition of civilization to conquer every inch on the whole earth. That hope is the organization of spirited people who will fight for the freedom and preservation of the wilderness." ~ Bob Marshall

Will we ever evolve past the hunter/gatherer mentality when the need to kill wildlife is no longer necessary? To call killing of any kind 'sport' is sad and misguided. Protect these bears, please!

Why is it that every time that humans move to an area they have to kill all the animals that are there?
For pete's sakes these animals were here (on this melting pot of a planet we all live on) first, they should be the ones kicking us out, we are the intruders!!

Constance, I have reported that message as SPAM - also the one by Ebi B. as this is another advert.

Precious souls - HOW can anyone want to MURDER these bears, or indeed, any animal at all? The best we can hope for here in East Sussex, southern England, is hedgehogs and very furtive foxes. If I could see a real bear in the wild it would be a memory to treasure for the rest of my life!

Sick hunters. They would be too afraid to hunt if the bears could shoot back. They are a bunch of a-holes.

Black bears should not be killed, especially when their populations are so low. Why can't we leave one species alone. If you want to kill something, get rid of some of the wild boars that are plaguing at least 28 states.

From the Las Vegas Review-Journal June 25, 2011: One protester, Christine Schwamberger, of, filed an Open Meeting Law complaint with the state attorney general's office, alleging commissioners committed criminal and civil violations for failing to admit thousands of public comments against the hunt when it was approved Dec. 4. Schwamberger said 3,090 e-mails about the hunt were submitted to the commission by individuals, and 3,028 opposed it.

That means only 62 people were for this hunt. So why did the legislature vote 7 to 1 for the hunt? The people of Nevada spoke and their officials ignored them. Money talks !!!

I have sent my letter to this Govenor as requested, I don't understand the reasons for this killing of 20 of the four legged ones, what have they done to deserve this, why does man always want to kill all of Creators creatures, they have more right to be here than most of the two leggeds, this makes my heart sad, aho.

Whoever enjoys the kill why don't you join the armed forces, and leave our beautiful wild animals alone. I have nothing for this Governor and am learning more and more about are so called leaders. The most of them stink. They simply enjoy the power but lack judgement, and common sense.

Dear Governor Sandoval,

As a U.S. citizen, I urge you to stop the Black Bear hunt that has been scheduled by the Nevada Board of Wildlife Commissioners has begun.

The black bear is a species that is already dying because man has encroached into his home areas and has irretrievably polluted his water and environment. To pursue a species that has already been hunted and harassed into almost extinction is criminal.

Anyone who wants to shoot an animal is clearly a disturbed human being, one that I do not want to share the planet with. Shooting a black bear is sadistic.

I want black bears. Bears belong in the wild, hunters do not. Please support bears, not violent human beings.

Thank you.

Two-legged stupidity reigns. Absolutely disgusting and unwarranted. Sent with comments. How dare they even think to take one life, let alone twenty. It's way past the time to arm bears. The world would be safer....and saner. >^..^< Michelle
