I dont think that many governments appreciate just how much the farmers mean to a countrys wellfare. without their expertise and their knowledge about the land and the crops, we would be in dire straits! You cant just get rid of the farmers because you dont like their colour, they have been feeding the people for years and years.

Zuma needs to do more to help alleviate the poverty in South Africa. He was a horrible selection to lead the country. The ANC needs to return to its greatness under Mandela. They are starting to worry more about themselves than the people of their country.

This petition does give almost no information on what it is about. I am pretty sure it is about reprisal killings of Afrikaner farmers by a Black African criminal element. The redistribution of resources after Apartheid never really happened. Both the poor Black African and Afrikaner were left disenfranchised as the people in government started worrying more about their own power.

I am just guessing: is this pay back time? I hate to see all this violence, but I had a choice to live in S.A.
or Australia and chose the latter. Somehow, I don't think I could ever be accepted there being white and the bloody racial history of that country. Am not really surprised of these attacks, but also not clear as to what is behind them. Australia also has a terrible record in their lack of respect and support of their native peoples, which I did not find out about until I got there in my mid teens. Sometimes am not very proud to be a human being.

Thank you Simone, for alerting me to this petition. These killings are hateful and racially motivated, with ANC leaders like Julius Malema well known for singing "Shoot the Boer". The murders are often highly sadistic and directed at entire families. There are details at the site linked on the petition, http://www.censorbugbear.org/rural-murders.
Without these honest, hard-working farmers, South Africa will starve, like Zimbabwe has been.
