18 weeks! That's not enough for this heinous crime. 18 years would be more appropriate!

Maggie May, you're a beautiful little girl!

Well, if they only get 18 weeks in jail, they should then be incarcerated in a mental hospital for the rest of their lives because they are obvious sick bastards.

What happens when a child or family member gets hurt? Is this how they plan to fix it?

What horrendous torture this poor pup has gone through. I'd volunteer to run over this idiot & stab him w/a potato peeler...evil needs to be treated with evil in return. People this sick don't understand the pain until they've felt it themselves. These stories make me crazy. If this were my neighbour I'd chuck a brick through one of his windows everyday just to remind him how much of an ass*%$# he is. The pathetic part is that sort of thing might land me in jail for more like 18 years...ah the justice system, protect the guilty.

Sadly noted. These monsters got off really easy with the 18 weeks. The should had gotten at least 3yrs, a large fine, banned from owning pets. At least they got the banned pet ownership.

Angrily noted!
These three moronic oieces of crap deserve fines and a LONG jail sentence. (Incidentally, I would like to inflict the same pain on them that they gave to this helpless animal, but that would only drag me down to their level of scum.)
I'm pleased to hear Maggie May is now loved and cared for.
Thanks.

I'm very glad to hear that beautiful Maggie is now doing well, but very disappointed that the perps only got 18 weeks in jail. She is a beautiful dog, I wish her a very happy, long life. I hope the perps get into a lot more trouble, trouble that carries a sentence of more than 18 weeks!!! (Which, at the rate they are going, seems likely.)

for animal abusers to get any jail time is extremely rare. i think this is a step in the right direction. sorry to say half the time people don't get 18 years for killing a person.

18 weeks ? When is the punishment going to fit the crime ? This dog was tortured after being hurt by a taxi. She was physically beaten and stabbed. If we want to improve our increasingly violent societies, we need to start taking animal abuse seriously. This kind of violence cannot continue to be given a slap on the wrist. Thank you to those who saved Maggie May. She is beautiful, and I wish her a safe and happy life from now on.

You go Maggie May with our love and blessings! The cruel and inhumane idiots will surely be put on the animal abuser list and they will be judged elsewhere!!!!!!
