In 2003, Tony Hayward was made VP of Exploration and Production. Houston is the home for BP's Headquarters for "Exploration and Production" in this hemisphere and that is where BP's concepts on PROFIT OVER ALL are made into actions to promote profits.

QUOTE
NB this applies to ALL oil search ,drilling etc-and is a good argument for using renewables instead
T"he drive for Oil production is a drive for profit over life and is too often the center cause for war and destruction. This problem is not isolated to the US. These disasters are found GLOBALLY and so is the cover they receive from prosecution.

It is time for an INTERNATIONAL MOVEMENT to bring these corporations and their managers to their knees and put them in jail. Only then will we be free to develop alternative energy sources. Only then will that developing technology move at the rapid pace that Human collaboration is capable."

I still can't believe that BP hasn't been held accountable for anything. Hell, they even wrote off like $13 million in taxes for the spill! We paid them to destroy and entire ecosystem. But hey, as long as the money keeps rolling in... Gladly signed and noted.

BP and their co-horts should be stripped of resources and shut down. I'd not object to ejecting a few other incompetents among the oil companies either, like ExonMobil. If the outfit actually makes a bonafide effort to clean up their mess and prevent future spills, I'm not too disgusted with them, but when they leave most of their mess behind and claim 'record profits' I'll propose stripping them of profits and legitimacy!

You mean to tell me, that they aren't already in jail?

The arrogance and narcissism displayed by Tony Hayward, on TV, was despicable
Fortunately, we don't often see someone so 'full of themself'.

The worst point is, they have been getting away with this behavior for many years, but, TV and the internet have made our Earth a much smaller planet.

This mess of wars, we find ourselves in, started over OIL, nothing else. How many Americans, plus others, have lost their lives for the oil industry and those who profit, from their profit? Our heros have not lost their lives for patriotism for the U.S.A., but, for the added success of Big Business.
Big Business and the wealthy ALWAYS make money during war times.
