Don't allow harsh dog-restraint laws to be passed in Australia In Victoria, Australia, fear of out-of-control dogs has reached a fever pitch, taking the form of strict legislation.

Signed, animals are not bad, its people who are at fault for what happens to other people that are involved in an animal situation!!

How about prosecuting and punishing the people that make those dogs vicious?

Signed. Sure there are dogs who are aggressive but look at a newspaper and see the violence that people commit every single day. In one city alone there are more deaths by people than by dogs. If I was out at night I wouldn't think about whether I was going to be attacked by a dog; I would be much more likely to be assaulted by a human, and yes, most likely a man. Watch out t=for the people with the dogs who are out of control and then the problem is more easily solved.

Signed. Ridiculous to assume that every dog of a certain breed will behave in a particular manner. Vicious dogs tend to become so because they have vicious owners - maybe they need legislation to curb certain types of owners!

Ban bulls**t BSL and legalise defencive carrying of cattle prods and stunners everywhere, so both people and dogs can survive encounters.

It is not the dogs that need to be restrained but rather the owners who need to be educated on how to properly train & take care of the dogs.

Signed. I agree with some commenters, don't punish the innocent but go after the humans that make these dogs mean.
