But still there is more to comment on this so I might contact Jelena via her author link and point that out to her.
The petition has NO CLEAR GOAL ,-such as demanding arrest and charges against Mrs Saric-, simply narrating what has happened so far will not trigger any type of action by the Sarajeco law enforcement officials or the attorney. I cannot understand why Jelena "was fighting for 3 yrs." and finally addressed the public, press etc, rather than FILING A COMPLAINT and press charges against that woman Saric, if she obviously acted against the law. Because this has not yet been done, is why police arrested her ONLY FOR RESISTING police and will undoubtedly free her after 48 hrs, with or without a bail.

Humans ! I just do not understand why the neighbours, police etc are not in there releasing and caring for these Dogs - if this was happening in my town they would have been released and cared for by me I would not wait for others, if this was in my country England I would be on my way to release them along with thousands of other animal / dog lovers - Does NO ONE in this Sarajevo care enough to go and release them, What a load of gutless sadistic Ar**h****.
I feel like buying a plane ticket and doing what the people of Sarajevo should be doing, Shame on them all.

BLESS you Angelika R for saying what had been worrying me - why had the woman who brought this to our attention apparently been fighting for 3 years, yet had not appealed to the wider world and why had she not organised a lawyer to persuade the police to act - and why had the petition not a clear goal to release the dogs and arrest the perpetrators? It does seem odd, doesn't it?

God bless the citizens of Sarajevo for uniting to free the dogs - in my email to the addresses given by Michelle I said that even if there were no animal protection laws to arrest this woman on there must be other ones and that it was making a world wide scandal and they must act! (It would appear the citizenry acted before the local government).
