Just before Memorial Day weekend 2011, a group of U.S. Forest Service employees was finishing a training session in the Lubrecht Experimental Forest outside Missoula when some of them found a brush-covered depression in the ground a tiny mountain lion cub

A tragic end, often those who should help animals or people in distress' in turn being a poor, frustrated, commits the opposite actions causing serious consequences, as in this case.

If this article reports the truth, Loewen only my personal opinion It is a bloody bastard, you may end up burning in the flames of hell

It's just SO weird but 'human actions' are hardly EVER justified?? Think it's about time they try to think like animals - obviously members of the animal kingdom have MUCH more intelligence and common sense than many a flippin 2-legged being!!!

Horrible! At least you think they'd carry shots for just such situations. And it sounds like this cub could have made it. Lesson learned... Don't call Fish & Game.

I can't believe that idiot killed the cub. It doesn't seem to me that the idiot likes animals so of course, he is in a position to control them as a wildlife officer and nothing happens to him for what he did. Shameful display of cowardice to kill the baby.

The cub was already getting fine when an idiot comes to the scene and everything turns into a crazy and very sad ending. I think he was a complete moron.

There was absolutely no reason to kill that cat. They were at the entrance of the wildlife rehabilitator. Let those people at least try to save the animal. He had no reason to make any decision concerning the viability of the cat. He clearly had no intention of ever letting that kitten get a chance at life. I hope to god people like that have to answer for what they do. Bastard.

How heartbreaking, to hear that this IDIOT killed this little baby mountain lion. There was NO reason for him to do this. What a sorry low-life piece of CRAP and a sorry excuse for a human. It's a shame someone doesn't hold your head to an exhaust pipe....breath deep you ASSHOLE. ''RIP BABY LION''.

I've learned my lessons, never to trust anyone else with an animals life. This little cub probably didn't need to die. I would have made sure that it went to an organization that helped wildlife and if I wasn't sure of them, would have taken the cub to another organization. People in forestry, law enforcement are trained to kill. They don't regard life like some of us. We have the ancient mentality of what gets in our way has to be killed and that isn't what the Bibe teaches at all. We are to care for the animals. To some this cub was a pest and to others it was a life that had the will to live, and felt pain, and cold and warmth, and love. It wanted to live as much as you and I. I hope God gives those that have little regard for life their justice rewards. God Bless the soul of this little cub that fought to live and trusted humans for his survival only to be betrayed by a human.
