Our outrage that an 800-year-old red cedar tree was chainsawed up by poachers at Carmanah Walbran Provincial Park has gone viral. Media across the country have covered this and people across the continent have spoken out

Such banana butts - I suppose it would be wrong to wish a tree would fall on these choppers?

It is our awful government in BC and our fascist Federal Government in Ottawa that allow people to come into an old growth forest and cut the trees. Forests are now wide open to abuse because these governments have cut back on jobs in the Parks department. One ranger cannot cover these large areas. The enviroment in Canada is under attack by the Harper Government. Fisheries, forestry and wildlife are now virtually unprotected. Canada's natural resources are being sold to the highest bidder and the laws have been either
"softened" or dumped.
