The Gray Wolf is a species of wolf recognized as Endangered by the US Government and Extirpated by New York State. This species of wolf's numbers have dropped as low as 150 per state due to destruction of their natural habitat and and hunting wolves for

Noted and signed. Isaac Bashevis Singer Nobel Peace Prize Winner wrote in his book, 'Enemies a love story', "As often has Herman had witnessed the slaughter of animals and fish, he always had the same thought. In their behaviour toward creatures, all men were Nazi’s. The smugness with which man could do with other species as he pleased exemplify the most extreme racist theories the principle that might is right. Lest we forget!

The gray wolf was, contrary to the assertion of 150 per state, completely exterminated in all states except Minnesota and possibly Montana.

Their former range extended south to California mountains, Colorado, at Nebraska in the plains, and along the forests of the US east , where it appears to have been naturally supplanted by the variant subspecies called the red wolf south of the Virginia/ Carolina area.

The 150 number looks to be associated with a Minnesota estimate of that number for that state only, during the wolf's darkest moment in the 1960s.

Since the gray wolf was a common member of North America's thriving ecosystems, assisting in maintaing biological diversity in plants and animals, the proper reservation of lands for the gray wolf are:

The ENTIRETY of US National Forest wherever it formerly existed
ALL BLM lands where it was either historically present, or needed totraverse as wildlife corridor.
ALL US NAtional Parks, as the stated mission of the Parks is to preserve native species.
All other Parks where their mission statements include such protection and/or preservation.

It is also time to reclaim as public lands those forested areas obtained through fraud, as a common practice of those landholding forest companies was to falsely use the Homestead Act to obtain these lands. These practices are in the historical record, and/or the legal records and any corporation inheriting these stolen lands should be required to surrender them, along with other lands in compensation for their illegal profits of the last 150 years and more.
Lands obtained fraudulently also include lands taken in violation of treaty with indigenous tribes/nations.

This continent belongs to the wolf, and a bunch of immigrant african chimpanzees with guns do NOT own the land, no matter they have made such arrogance legal to themselves.

The information in this petition is incorrect. There is not 150 wolves per state. In Minnesota we have 3,000 beautiful wolves that will be hunted this fall. Our wolves are at risk of going back to their pre endangered species list numbers. Signing petitions that have inaccurate information will not save our wolves or those in Idaho and Wyoming. Minneaota has the largest wolf population of all lower 48 states and I would like to keep it that way.

Signed with the comment. Please contact the Defenders of Wildlife when the ranchers through a hissy fit. The group gives guard dogs to ranchers to protect their livestock. So, in my mind it is a win/win
