Gladly signed; I had no idea the NYC school system still used styrofoam lunch trays! Chinese restaurants are big contributers, so are restaurants who use these containers for people who take their order to go, or who bring the rest of their meal home.

If a company makes a product( ie stryrofoam) they should be responsible for it's ability to be recycled.

In addendum; how about we ban Styrofoam around the world? What an ubiquitous and pervasive curse this product has become; all thanks to our need for convenience. There is technology around that will convert Styrofoam so there is no need for it to wind up in a landfill. We could be producing eco friendly packaging by utilizing hemp or kudzu and other plant products.

I went to grade school with a boy who was the grandson of the man who invented styrofoam. I don't like to be disloyal to my community and my friend but I signed. He was one of the nicest, smartest, and fun kids in the our school. I wish him the best.
