Nored and signed. Sadly more animal atrocities such as this one will be basically ignored. In most cases,a petty fine is issued or in extreme cases,merely a 6 month jail sentence. Totally unacceptable. Globally there needs to be a complete overhaul of animal right laws. In some countries,there isn't any laws at all protecting our animals. I say no more of these petty fines and laughable sentences but rather impose a minimum 15 year jail term with no fines being an option at all. This is the only way i can think our animals,finally will be safe,or at least get justice. Anyone who can inflict such pain on an innocent animal should be deemed unfit to live among our society.

witnesses are often times threaden or friends & family members frighten these witnesses into not getting involved. Since these people are probably neighbors of the accused I can understand to some degree. Too bad humans are too cowardly to do their own thinking to do what's right. Next time it might be their own pets or themselves that get shot.

Incompetent. If a person wants to kill kill not fool around. Bullet to the head works fine and there is no pain. I have had to put down animals. This is a person who has no education in animal husbandry. A couple years on a working farm or ranch will change him.

Elected officials need to take animal abuse more seriously because it will lead up to violence against people if it hasn't already. And if jennifer joyce, circuit attorney of St. Louis knew him or his family, she should have excuse herself from the entire situation. Either way, she sucks at her job.

N&S. The courts are far too lenient in cases like this. If he is not brought back to court, and even if he is, interested citizens in his community should take out a half-page ad in their newspaper relating the details of the case.

Only thing left to do is to target this monster and throw him under some truck. This is why I say, we should have dedicated courts with dedicated judges to try these scumbags.
