As a biologist said back in the 1960's: "all problems are population problems."
Africa's wildlife has been in sever jeopardy for a century.
China eats improbable objects as food due to its usurpation of available land for many centuries.
Wolves were extinguished throughout most of the US because of meatgrower greed. After reintroduction, they are once again being extinguished - same reason.
Once again, as a civilization becomes more artificial, it becomes more likely to collapse (a not-tragic possibility) through increasingly numerous vulnerabilities.
Would you really want a world in which humans efficiently controlled all life for its purposes? Would this be an Eden to you?
