As November approaches, we need to recognize that there are two kinds of fraud at issue. The first is voter fraud, and every research project done has determined that the problem is too minuscule to have the slightest impact on any election. The second is election fraud, in which a political party, virtually always the Republicans in recent decades, uses dishonest and often criminal means, to produce an undeserved victory. Here’s how Republicans are using lies about the first to employ the second.

Great article Tom.
The GOP are un-American~in my opinion.
The right to vote is sacred and these people have ZERO respect for that right! (look at all of the garbage they are doing in Wisconsin today; phony robo-calls, many college kids won't be able to vote etc.)

All very true - it not in the spirit of a free election. It seems that Florida actually might have found one man that may be illegally registered to vote. Consider that might be true for every state, then one person in each state would mean 50 illegal voters. Who really cares about 50 illegal votes? Should an election out come hinge on a total of 50 votes it would be probably be decided, as proscribed by the constitution, through the House of Representatives. Any one supporting this purging of voters should be ashamed. So glad the DOJ is getting involved I hope they use the full force of the law on every state attempting to rig elections.

Kit it wasn't too many years ago that Loretta Sanchez, a local politician was involved in voter fraud when she helped illegals register in Orange Country. It DOES happen and it makes me sick.

There SHOULD be a simple registration system for NO or LOW cost to verify the eligibility of every US citizen for voting privileges. I have to identify myself at my bank, at the BMV, even to cash a check!

Why shouldn't I have to identify myself as a proven citizen when I vote?

Now--as far as what's happened in Florida? DIFFERENT ISSUE!

The only thing they are experts at is screwing people over.

It's simply beyond belief that they actually do these things because of some twisted sense of righteousness, and they claim to be terribly religious people and patriots.

In the UK we always had to register to vote, we always had to show that we live at the address we are using to register, you are then given a voting number, on a card which you have to use to vote, this is sent to your address about one week before the vote! If you move or change your name you have to register again.

The DOJ investigated voter fraud, I believe at the behest of the Bush administration, and found that there was negigible voter fraud. Very interesting that this Republican/Teabagger yahoo cited James O'Keefe. I wonder what he would have said about the two recent cases of voter fraud involving sitting Republican/Teabaggers? One was convicted and the other is under investigation.

Another case of projection? It seems that the Republican/Teabaggers have absolutely no morals --- they will cheat, steal, lie and commit both voter and electoral fraud to get their goal, a Republican/Teabagger régime.

Your right Kit voting is sacred..For All !!!!! There are many of these stories on the internet.. But don't see that addressed here..

Two black panthers were blocking the doorway at a polling place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rick Levanthal of Fox News is reporting live.

One of the panthers said "the black man was going to win the White House no matter what."

Brandishing a night stick, and swinging it menacingly, the police were called - one of the black panthers and his night stick were moved.

Scarlett P. , PLEASE, not the Faux News Black Panther story again. That was a Tempest in a Teapot exaggerated by Fox. There was no documented voter suppression. And don't believe everything you read on the internet. Use various sources that are reliable before posting. Remember Faux Noise is bad about getting facts twisted and not reporting the WHOLE story.

Thanks to all but one. It amazes me that no matter how debunked a lie becomes, there alr always some who continue to parrot it.

what happened in the 2008 election was oh sarah; the wanna be out of control... vp dog whistleing the parrots to arms to save the elction for she and mccain from the rest of us. And come..they came.. everyone was sick and tired of old george and his party and everything they had done to this country.

all of us wanted someone to save us.... the election was going to be a land slide for obama anyway. the powers that be knew that. But.... remember.. violence was breaking out and things was happening to voters of all types and all ages.
CAn you remember the many arsons? like there are now? makes you wonder why there are so many..
I wonder myself... Is ti to displace families so they can't vote... But that is no longer a priority is it?
I don't trust that r party and like everything they do heartless and dirty... I even wonder if they are into the arson business so people can't vote.

Just so they can stay in power or have the power... power to ruin everyone else's lives.
Look at their track record so far. they like fascism.
Homeland security cannot even protect the voting rights of americans. Nor can they protect us from the kochs and the republican national nazi party.

Got some buzz words for you... productivity... competiveness and one other but this is corp power over the worker... oh yess unionless..... they are starting to fire workers and have them being followed around and merited on performance which not productive enough affects their bottom line... profits...

the continuing saga of their NWO. I hear it is happening now where I live. I'd like to encourage u but last nights NBC give away election hasn't worn off yet.

About the voting issue... Our government prides itself on the right to vote as the pillar of democracy. We send ours to die and kill for that right. This country is hypocritical.
We are finding out just how much no votes count. ALl that money spent on lying t.v ads.. How many jobs, food and problems could that solve. We are not broke... we are broken.

"Heritage Foundation ‘Expert’ Cannot Cite Any Examples Of Actual Voter Fraud."

That's because they don't actually know of any. It's their self-serving and prejudicial stereotyping of minorities that puts doubts in people's minds. Voter suppression is their goal. They'll never admit that they're wrong.

The Republican party seems to be willing to say anything (regardless of actual facts) in an attempt to sway the public to support them.

Thanks. There's a special word for Republican candidates that stick to the facts: unemployed.
