Thanks Tom for the graph, As for the SCOTUS I have very low opinion of them, Burning crosses is not free speech it should be a hate crime.

Puzzle Well under the average, almost as good as you TC! Go figure I'm a bird brain!

MoveOn Big difference in the costs of 'bricks and mortar and operations' between Medicare and the insurance companies. I guess this is built in executive profit bonuses? What a system! NOT!! here's a related article that appeared on Care2

Well it seems that this is the same story as the interview with Alan Grayson. All I can add is "Eeehaw!"

The Fundraiser That sounds like a good book title filled with political intrigue, crime, espionage, murder, extravagances, lies and innuendo
I heard about this a few days ago and my first reaction was 'don't they already have enough money raised?' apparently the goal for the weekend is close to $500 million I think that's a lot of escargot!

Cartoon So it violates free speech? What about hate laws? Cross burnings by their very nature are designed to intimidate. These are not celebratory marshmallow roasts but deliberate attempts to coerce, intimidate and silence people. SCOTUS was as lame assed on this decision as it was on Citizens United. This is the 21st century, not the 19th century. There is no room for this in a civilised society.

Thanks to all!

John, I am personal;y against flag burning has never been tied to to violence toward and intimidation of any group of people. You're comparing apples and oranges.

. . . as long as no one is tied to that cross . . . but if you do that on someone else's property, shouldn't it at least be vandalism? Trespassing? Help me out, here, judge.

Yet, according to this judge, clicking 'like' on Facebook is NOT free speech!

I guess that means burning a KKK costume doesn't violate free speech either!
