Since he was caught revealing his true feelings Lord Willard has been etching his sketch at a frantic pace trying to deceive voters into believing that what he said wasn’t true. Fortunately, there is ample evidence, not only that the 47% gaffe was completely accurate, but also that it is representative of the Republican leadership. Lets start with an excellent piece by Paul Krugman.

I love the transparency that allows the truth to emerge constantly so we all see exactly what's going on. Romney is playing a game that might have won a decade ago, but everything is seen for what it is now. I, for one, am glad that the heinous party still runs on dinosaur fumes, which suits their outdated, slimy business dealings and philosophies.
Yeah, we are lucky to be here, but its his kind of ideas and business practices that have been destroying our country and the whole world as he goes on exploiting it for his own selfish gains with no end in sight. There is no hope for the majority except to work at Wal-mart for minimum wage like a slave and eat non-nutritious but expensive fast food just to make the time for sleep and start a worker-ant day again. Where does a family fit into any of his vision? How do you pay for a college tuition of $50K + with his vision? The American dream is dead with his ideas because average Americans can't compete in the world he lives in, which keeps getting smaller. This guy is out of touch beyond belief. Perhaps he is the reincarnation of Marie Antoinette....? Jeez, if he wins, certainly an uprising will occur if the people are not too exhausted to bother (which the neo-cons are probably counting on)

Camila makes a good point....a decade or so ago, Romney might have won....media and the internet now make his kind of sleazy dishonesty apparent. For all he cares, I suppose we can just eat cake.....

Thanks Tom for another great post. and video. Signed a petition today to have the NLRB check into whether forcing the coal workers to attend he rally without pay was illegal. Read and noted.

In the background of Rmoney's speech, you see a whole lot of glum coalworkers -- who were FORCED to attend by management; and were NOT EVEN PAID FOR THEIR DAY'S PAY LOSS.

In other words, what you are seeing behind Rmoney is A GROUP OF UNWILLING SLAVES, featured in a commercial that was CHEAP TO MAKE BECAUSE NONE OF THEM WERE PAID!!!
{The slave-coal-miners later went and revealed all to the press! as their revenge!}

All that the Commercial for Rmoney cost, was the FILM, the CAMERA OPERATORS, and the ACTORS PLAYING COAL MINERS who were FAKE "INTERVIEWED" for the Rmoney commercial!

With ALL THEIR MONEY THEY ARE POURING INTO CAMPAIGN ADS FOR RMONEY, the Koch brothers STILL CAN'T GET IT RIGHT -- because, of course, just like Rmoney, THEY ARE OUT-OF-TOUCH with the American People and, apparently, BELIEVE THEIR OWN CRAZY PROPAGANDA...

Just like all the money the Koch brothers are paying the TROLLS HERE ON CARE2 and elsewhere on the Internet, that money is NOT GETTING RESULTS FOR THEM -- because the TROLLS ARE SO STUPID and out-of-touch, also!
The Trolls end up, inevitably, HELPING THE OTHER SIDE, NOT the trolls' Repukelican paymasters!!!
{Which is the RNC, the Republican National Committee.}
{They pay by the posting, which is why you see so much UTTER NONSENSE from trolls all over the Internet -- the trolls get paid for ANY old thing they write! and it SHOWS!}

Even the HUGE INFLUX OF REPUKELICAN-APOLOGIST TROLLS you are seeing now on Care2, and all over the Internet, and will see from now till the Election -- even THEY aren't going to help Rmoney win!
NOTHING can help him now! NOT EVEN THE VOTER SUPPRESSION EFFORTS OF THE REPUKELICANS!

Still, WE HAVE TO TURN OUT AND VOTE ANYWAY!
Repukelicans' strategy is to make this "A TIGHT RACE" -- which, by the way, is why Rmoney SAYS to the Press that he's "even" with President Obama, tho that is CLEARLY NOT SO!

If it is a "tight race", due to Voter Suppression and discouragement, Voter bullying and intimidation by thuggish Repukelican "poll watchers" --
then the Repukes can "more plausibly" win by switching a few votes from our side to their side, on the Diebold Voting Machines that they MADE TO BE HACKED. The Diebold Voting Machines are MANUFACTURED BY REPUBLICAN SUPPORTERS and are easily-hackable, as has been PROVED.
President Obama, and ALL DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES, FOR HOUSE AND SENATE, need to WIN BY THE WIDEST MARGINS POSSIBLE -- so that it will NOT be plausible when the Diebold Voting Machines are hacked in Romney's favor!
We need to PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION TO THE POLLS, and to ORGANIZE IN NEIGHBORHOODS, to GET OUT THE VOTE; and to CONFRONT REPUKELICAN THUG "POLL WATCHERS".
We especially need to help WORKING PEOPLE WHO WORK LONG HOURS, and Women and Caretakers of children, to actually physically get to the Voting Places on time.... or to ask for, and get, Absentee Ballots....

Seems to me, Romney is running an excellent campaign to get Obama elected.

Romney seems to be in self destructive mode. Or is it self protection. After all, he lives in this country also,
Perhaps he doesn't want to live in a country where Romney is president, LOL

"We have 250 years of coal why wouldn't we use it" - how do you use coal dug out and burned 250 years ago??!

Rmoney is suggesting that workers should be kept in prison camps and paid slave wages and kept in insanitary conditions with no welfare at all? B***er me!!! I really don't believe that Rmoney truely believes that the guard towers and barbed wire etc were to keep people out - honestly I don't and I don't think anyone with a brain or a conscience does either!

This is a BRILLIANT segment of the Ed Show - brilliant. Thanks TC,

"All the party’s affection is reserved for “job creators,” a k a employers and investors. Leading figures in the party find it hard even to pretend to have any regard for ordinary working families — who, it goes without saying, make up the vast majority of Americans."

When you think about it, if everybody were the entrepreneurs, the "job creators" of the Republican belief system, then there would be no American workers — no 'made in America'. ALL jobs would be sourced overseas. And in my mind, that creates a security of supply issue, not unlike the security of oil supplies, the lack of dependence on foreign oil imports. Republicans are certainly using this flash point when talking about the Keystone XL and transport of tar sands oil to the Gulf.

Without American workers, there can be no strong America. Not everybody is cut out to be an entrepreneur. Workers are the ones that help to make the American economy strong by buying the products their fellows have made. All the Rmoney's of the US better understand that without American workers they are but 'dust in the wind', to borrow a phrase.

Get out the Vote!!!!!

Vote Democratic 2012!!!!! Vote Obama/Biden 2012!!!!!

To Lynn, sorry I didn't post the link, tried to reply to you via your personal message but Care2 is acting up again and wouldn't let me (2 days this has been going on and I can't leave comments in my discussions groups either). TC, Here's a challenge for you. Do you think you could put up some news items that discuss the issues and refrain from personal and party attacks? I'm beginning to believe that this elction is all about who can dump the most crap on the other guy. Voters are smarter than that I would hope. I would love to see a spirited discussion of all the important issues and refrain from all the attacks and cutesy names for the main combatants.

Krugman is a bright man....not just Mr. Robmey, butfor the past 30 years the simple MO for the GOP has been work and care only about our supportors, for the Dems work for everyone....I think this arguably has been the one biggest fault Mr. Obama has.....thats why so many of his supporters have been turned off his willingness to compromise....we see this too at our state and local levels when moderates/compromisers can't hold "the base"....

Sadly, without compromise, nothing ever gets done. The Republicans proved that for the last four years.

John Gregoire:
HA HA Everybody, LOOK, a PERFECT EXAMPLE of a Troll TRYING DESPERATELY TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT.
The trolls are getting DESPERATE to earn their paychecks SOMEHOW; they have NO arguments they can use, nothing that will convince ANYbody;
so they cast around, try masquerading as "liberals" and "independents" and "former Obama supporters" and really UNDERESTIMATING THE INTELLIGENCE of all of us!
They also LOVE TO ATTACK CARE2 ITSELF. And C2 people who write in the Causes section.
They CAN'T DEFEND ROMNEY; so they try to CHANGE THE SUBJECT. This is getting VERY THIN. The paid trolls have LESS AND LESS they can say!
Why don't the trolls, who have such a short-term outlook, REALIZE, that in a Repukelican-controlled Amerikkka, THEY WOULD SUFFER ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE WORKERS?????

[Oh, one favorite TACTIC that has come up more & more lately, is to CALL ANY CRITICISM OF RMONEY, "DIVISIVE". As if Rmoney's covert Racist dog-whistles, AREN'T the REAL "DIVISIVENESS"!!!
The trolls should be CALLED OUT ON THIS, on every possible occasion!]

Gee BMutiny, Iand I didn't think you cared! I'm not apolgizing for anyone nor am I a republican or Democrat. I do not think Romney would make a good President and believe Obama to be one of our worst.

What I said and you and TC do not understand is that there are big issues confronting our country while the candidates and you folks are busly looking the other way and not forcing a discussion of the issue.

Obfuscation appears to be the tool of the liberals and you use it to distraction.

Your troll in residence.
John
