The Heritage Foundation has been the premiere Republican think tank for many years. From now on, however, it will no longer be a think tank, because it devolved into a stink tank with the appointment of Jim DeMint (R-InsaniTEA) at it’s head.

Great idea! Stink tank! (maybe it's a septic tank in disguise?)

GOOD! Just keep moving them to the right....eventually, they'll fall off the edge of the FLAT EARTH!

I'm pretty sure the GOP Senate is GLAD to be rid of him...he's become an embarrassment. It's alot safer for him to be at the Heritage Foundation. And the pay is ALOT better at his new job!

Fare thee well ~ so long, Do-na-da-go-hv-i, Bonne journée, Auf Wiedersehen, etc....."Don't let the door hit your backside on the way out." (Cherokee, French and German)

No one, neither your colleagues nor the opposition will be displaying tears of regret at your loss. Do enjoy your probable short tenure at Heritage Foundation. Accept our thanks for leaving the United States Senate.

Get them all in one place, and then the nice men in the white jackets can surround them...

RepubliCON Think Tank is an Oxymoron.. I suppose RepubliCONs prefer Think Tanks to Nursing Homes for their terminally insane.

....DeMint thinking he might run for President???? Another far right winger who either can't think for himself or can't connect his mouth and mind when speaking.......

Thank Dawg he's out oft he if we can only find a way to get the rest of the Baggers out and/or gone and/or committed.....America might go forward again. No great loss in his leaving! The Fascist Bas***d.

There were a couple more segments with Ezra highlighting DeMint. In one, he basically said that DeMint is not a legislator, but a legislator maker — he will pit one Republican against another, DeMint backing the most conservative. He is out to make the Republican/Teabaggers even more conservative, if that is possible, and therefore even more fractious. To me, that sounds nothing short of seditious.

@ Dave C --- Dave, Jim DeMint can connect his mouth and his mind --- that's why crap comes out! (Think TC's picture of head in a dark place!)

He never did anything in the first place except act as the Teabagger in chief and not much else, though on the plus side he did want to sack John Boehner, but give the Teabaggers a sack and they just suck at it. Apparently Tea Partiers get upset about being called teabaggers even though most people believe they suck balls. As I was accused of hate speech by some Conservative troll on this site. So there is a need to call them something that won't effect their haemophillically think skin I did chance on this particularly good term in the Cumbrian town of Whitehaven that calls their rival Workington "Jam eaters" and in reply Workington calls Whitehaven "Jam eaters" too. Think that works, as I bet he eats jam.

"Devolution" is a word and phenomenon that the Republicans have revived and live.

So, I guess the bets are he retiring to make more money, or will he just become irrelevant? Of course, I'm hoping for the long as the media quits making mountains out of molehills. Oh, wait.

I'm hoping he will offer VP positions to John McCain and Coburn soonest! I'd call going from 174K to over a million per annum a little boost and not irrelevance Lois. ;-)

I don't suppose there's any chance we could sneak
a Democrat in on that 2014 special election???
