Most of you know, that when I say, “Idiot, son of Idiot, named after Idiot,” I am referring to Rand Paul (R-KY). Following in the footsteps of his malignant father, he gives “Bought Bitch Mitch” McConnell serious competition for the title of Kentuckian most likely to be certified insane. He has demonstrated, once again, that my opinion of him is correct.

Rand Paul is not a rising star; he continues displaying intelligence that is lower than pond scum
on another pond scum's show with the likes of Glenn Beck.

Tom is correct in his assessment of Rand Paul.

Ty, Tom.

Thanks Tom for the post. Rising star he's not! More like malignant tumor on the body politic. Read and noted.

Rand Paul is the least of my worries. He is way too extreme to get much more of a following. Then again the Reagans and the Bushes have dug my grave for me.

Animals are much more intelligent than Rand Paul, thank goodness....I do wish, Tom, that you could tell us how you REALLY feel about Rand Paul.....(and I'm still smiling over that first post)

"It seems much of the media establishment has decided Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ken.) deserves to be taken seriously. He’s made seven Sunday show appearances since February; the New York Times recently described Paul has one of his party’s "rising stars"; and the Washington Post‘s Chris Cillizza last week referred to the Kentucky Republican as "the most interesting politician in the country" and "the most interesting man in the (political) world."

It just means the media haven't enough to do. So let's get them real jobs. Out in the sun fixing potholes or something they are qualified to do. Rand is a fool, even a bigger fool than his father, thank goodness as that makes the likelihood of him rising higher than where he is less. He Peter Principled out several legislative jobs ago and is way over his head at the national level. Apparently he thinks the SCOTUS ruling invalidates current laws against bigamy somehow. Which is just yet one more example of the depth of his thinking, which could not skim the cream of a cup of a pail of fresh milk. Why anyone would listen to him about anything is just silly. Then again so are what passes for journalists these days, they're as shallow and bigoted as he is, mostly. So he's their shiny new toy. I hope the luster wears off soon. Then again, he'd make a fine republican candidate for president in 2016, easily beatable by any Democrat with a functioning brain.

Stil giggling like a frikken ninny here at Cat Daddy's comment. Gene. so well said!

I am not even starting where Tom and Gene left off because it would only be extremely colorful adjectives (sprinkled with new and improved verbs and in some contexts, nouns)....geeeeeeee, can you all tell I really 'love' this POS loser and his equally brainless replicator......

IDIOT.....know thyself as such and then shut the *&^%^%&&^^%^%$%$ UP!!!!!!

I'm completely tired and disgusted with the media giving any amount of credibility and the power of the air waves to ALL of these IDIOTS. It does nothing to improve or add to an intelligent national conversation regarding any of the issues our country faces or cares about finding solutions to help us recover. Reporting on viable, researched information has gone down the damn drain and it's anything and everything spewed out to the public as "fact' when it's dribbled out of these insanity laced mouths. The absolute fiction from the likes of Rand Paul and his dumb ass cohorts and followers should never be given the time of day as anything near credible when they never bring anything worthy of intelligent response to the social table. Rand Paul IS a boil on the Nation's butt. He and his ilk are nothing more than brainless masses and complete detriments to our society. Rand Paul continues to be the self-serving, outright incompetent fool, following directly in his father's low brained footsteps. Lord help us, how in the hell do these tit turds ever get into positions where they have actual power to make decisions for the rest of us. I've heard Kentucky is a beautiful state but why do it's people insist on following such ignorant and destructive people down the rabbit hole and unfortunately subjecting the rest of the country to such TOTAL time and money wasting stupidity. I know this is repetitive input but it DOES HELP blowing off steam to lower the blood pressure at least for a few minutes, ARRRRGH!!! until the next bunch of BS from the Right HITS AGAIN. The problem, they don't CARE what the rest of the country thinks, they are satiated by living in their own world of made up crap while a small group (in comparison to the rest of the country) of ignorant meme's follow without the capacity for individual thought and conclusion, THAT particular process doesn't exist in their world .

Big Green Stars to TC and Gene too.

Removing Republican/TP's from office = A HUGE start on Restoring Democracy and SANITY.

Reagan started the decline in americans IQs and now they are in government. They follow fox foot steps as if it was reality. The civilian followers vote for them. Scary stuff.

I consider the reference to be for Pelosi, Reid, Biden, Schumer, and most of the rest of the lefty extreme. Those idiots are fit only for a voyage to mainland China, they're wasting our resources!

Shirley A (96)
Friday June 28, 2013, 1:37 pm
Jason's correct. I too saw the "dumbing down" and pandering to low info voters as a definite plan of action then and with the boom of the me, me, me mantra, go for the money at all costs, greed is good generation, the Republican's were happy as circus clowns that the "masses" were not paying attention to their little plans and ploys they were so quietly enacting and pushing this country into. We've been asleep and apathetic for soooo long we let them dig our graves and we fell in but now that folks hopefully are waking up to the corruption and incompetence of past governance these people now are running scared and circling what's left of the Right Wing wagons, throwing any and all barbs and arrows they can make up. I'm Praying the "masses" have woken up, stay involved and we keep our attention focused. Hopefully we can undo the damage and NEVER go there again.

"…if you just look without any kind of moral periscope and you say, what is it that is the leading cause of poverty in our country? It’s having kids without marriage. …"

The leading cause of poverty is "your greed superceeding the children's (people's) needs!

Rand Paul, and many others, went to Conservative Republican/Teabagger University and graduated suma cum laude with a degree in Stupidity, majoring in greed and baseless conservative values.

Ahh. The in-comparable Mr. Pauls! They are a beast that does not believe in facts! I thought, years ago, that Ron Paul was a fairly level-minded guy. But actions of the last few years have made me call into question the sanity, or insanity, of his actions and statements.
He has let the Rethuglican party turn him into a certified wing-nut now, though. And his son has taken this to a whole new level of idiocy!
My goodness! What one won't come up with, the other one will, and not in a good way!!

TomCat S (128)

Thanks everyone except one. Kudos to Gene.

Vivian, he always was a wing-nut. What changed is that the Republican Party has made hatred socially acceptable within their ranks, so of late, he could state his views more openly.

Apparently rand Paul is not a function for generating a random number between one and Paul (Programmers joke) but then the random generation of bat shit from this man is just beyond belief and we are talking about he is on the way to surpass Sarah Palin's generation of Chiropteran feces. The whole gay marriage thing just seems to be a thing that nutters like him get upset about as they seem to be coming out with so many options which frankly suggest they have been looking at the sort of thing that would get them on a sex offenders register and get them banned from going near local schools and dog pounds. The whole thing is why is it that ophthalmologists are so crazy? Curiously Bashar al-Assad is also one and apart from looking like Dobby is actually a bit saner than Paul Rand.

I know it has been said before in various ways but I have to ask again. "Just what the hell is it with Bible Humping Christian Taliban of America and their obsession with Bestiality?" And why is it that Nothing seems to rev their personal obsession with f'ing animals, particularly dogs, horses and farm animals, than discussions on marriage. Well aside from the obvious snide, disingenuous and baseless assumptions one could make about their spouses, the obvious answer, at least to me, it that their concept of women/spouses is that of breeding stock. Now don't get your knickers in a knot unless you really enjoy that sort of thing. Stop and think about what Repu/Tea Bagged/ Christian Taliban of America political operatives do when they have power. Look to Texas and Perry and the rest of the Repug controlled State Legislatures, the US House and the long, long, long, and growing longer by the day list of Anti-Abortion, Anti-Choice, Anti-Woman laws being passed across America. Redefining rape, pregnancy, conception, and contraceptions along with forcing teachers and even Doctors to lie to females of all ages, add forcing women to have and pay for medically unnecessary and potentially dangerous invasive medical procedures and waiting times. This only appears to be inhumane and a violation of human/civil rights if you consider women to be human and not breeding stock that is owned by men. I fear that their fear and hatred of Marriage Equality comes from the plain and simple fact that Marriage Equality completely makes their formula of woman = property/breeding stock. When marriage no longer is defined as man owns woman then men no longer have any right to control women in particular their wombs. There is only one thing that I can think of that is as dangerous, if not more so, than a cornered animal and that is a Man accustomed to power threatened with losing that power.

....for years now we don't vote based on intellect and insights, but on looks, charm, charisma.....except in the cases of Mr. Clinton and Obama who did have the intellect and insight, too......RR was a movie star more than politician, GB won because he was the VP and smear and GWB won because too may said "I could see myself at a BBQ having a beer with him"

I can decipher the chaotic language and concerns of schizophrenics, but cannot tell you how the minds of the Pauls function, unless it might be in terms of the brain damage observed.

More than one wonderful person I've known has Tourette's Syndrome, and in severe cases of that disorder, you can still detect the warm humanity of those sufferers, and their distress over outpourings
They all break my heart because I recognise their living beauty.

But I cannot understand this republican, libertarian, patriotic vituperation. Somehow it appeals to chaotic hatred, fear, anger, and like some horrible fast food, attracts people who then slobber their own minds too, into the very same mental violence. We are seeing this for instance, in public response to Manning, Assange, Snowden, and in the members of US government calling for drone killing, outrage over being discovered (not enough experience as children with "hide and seek?") and revenge upon all who disagree.

What were called Axis II disorders, Personality Disorders, are attempts of the mind or spirit to avoid conscious suffering.

It does seem that we can fall into abysses worse than the most terrible suffering.

You may apply this consideration to those who wreak violence upon others. This cognitive style is quite widespread and intractable.

For those who might consider that alliance with some who share a few values:

Assimilation with bigots and cruel religions and their adherents occurs when perceived by others. Those of you with truly valid concerns and issues are being lumped together with violent outcasts. This trend has always occurred as societies are inherently normative - demanding stricter adherence as those in power begin to perceive dissent as inimical.

When relationship, loving respect, diminish in the perception of either myself, or of those who perceive me as a danger, there are two paths. This choice is clear, although distressingly few take the path of courage, the path of spring, the path of truth. New paths each day, we never know where they lead. This is too scary for many.
These people you attend to , they fear to travel, believing they have a home they defend. Yet who knows tomorrow?

This man and his father are clearly suffering from mental illness. I very much hope they get the professional help they need because clearly they are living with ET and Peter Pan in Never Never Land. Until they come to their senses I choose not to listen to anything they have to say.
