Andy Borowitz strikes again.

The Democrats need to make the case that we are currently living under the Republican imposed sequester and no further cuts will be tolerated. Reach out to the people to make the case, not just members of the House and Senate. People are feeling these current cuts. The deficit is cut by half, but we must not wait any longer to get things moving for jobs.

Can much be more annoying than the GOP stance on budgets and jobs? Ok, and Obamacare.... and abortion....and voting rights, yeah..... Ok, we can shorten the entire sentence, can't we? Can much be more annoying than the GOP?

Mr. Boehner and the GOP should just go away and let people who want to do things for the entire country do them.....

Boehner says, “We’re not going to raise the debt ceiling without real cuts in spending." Hey, I've got a GREAT idea for a "real cut in spending"! All in favor of cutting Boehner's salary by two-thirds, de-funding his pension plan, cutting the funding of HIS taxpayer-funded healthcare-for-life plan, AND taking away his “American Taxpayer Express” credit card that he uses for things like paying a law firm to defend DOMA, raise your right hands!

Okay, mine's up, but I can't see any of yours . . . maybe if you all post "Aye"?

Me: AYE!!

Noted. Yeah, Harry Reid has to keep repeating the same thing over & over, because eventually we all know he will cave. Thou doest protest too much!
O.K., Dianna: "AYE"!
I mean, they need to cut military/defense spending and definitely stop dirty energy subsidies for starters. The nasty thing is, when defense ends up being cut through sequestration, they just add it back in by passing a separate bill funding it...and keep it quiet until alternative media finds out and posts it online.
And, they're still beholden to their Grover Norquist pledge to not increase taxes. You must realize that those who vote to increase taxes per any bill have their campaign funds taken away. This is what we're dealing with. Sick!

I suspect we made a little mistake in jumping on Boehner's "repeal" comment the wrong way. Perhaps we should be saying, "Yes! Yes! The Patriot Act! The act that requires the USPS to pre-fund retirement 75 years in advance! All the anti-choice drivel! The Monsanto Protection Act! Yes! Repeal, repeal, repeal!"

Yes, Dianna, AYE!

Weiner badly needs to see a shrink!

Boehner needs to see a shrink.

Republicans need to see a shrink.

Thanks, TomCat. Edith B. has the right idea; send them all to a shrink.

Puzzle — 4:29 Couldn't find the exit fast enough!

The New Yorker — He definitely has a problem and needs professional care. I here his polls in the NY mayoralty race took a dive over his latest sexting revelation.

Daily Kos — Stand Your Ground laws have to go the way of the dodo bird!

TPM — The US does not have a big spending problem. It has a Republicanus/Teabagger problem! Sure, some unnecessary programmes could be cut, other programmes tweaked. Mr Obama said as much. But for the Republicanus/Teabaggers to hold the country hostage yet again, is unconscionable.

Cartoon — Republicanus/Teabaggers are always trying to rewrite history. It's one of the things they do well!
