I am with you on that, Cat Man....nuke the Filibast**ds.

Holder had better investige that buttwad for lying. That is contempt and he should bve held just as accountable as say......they are holding Mr. Snoden and Mr. Manning. Butr, you watch, he won't because there are two different justice systems in AmuriKKKa.

TomCat do CREW really exist? Do they? Or is is only my fevered imaginings and desperate hope that they do?! I looked at that letter and it was wonderful! I really hope they can get that lying b*stard prosecuted and imprisoned for lying under oath. (He was 'confused'? As if!).

Sorry your HSP crashed but this is day 50 and if you can survive that AND the weather surely you can survive anything! Well done TC!

Very relieved to be able to visit the site, Tom - not so thrilled with the photo of Mitch Turtle but I guess those are the breaks....just more incentive to vote these doofs out so we don't have to see them anymore.

Dang, I can't get to your site right now either. Something odd going on as my site was down yesterday too but back today, or was when I last looked. Hope you're doing okay in the heat. Just the opposite here, unseasonably cool, late September weather for the first time this early that I can remember. The climate change is definitely underway...

No worries, site opened this time for me. Sigh. I am so happy Mitch has challengers, who might actually beat him, it would be worthwhile just to get his face off television as the minority "leader" in quotes because I think the last thing that man does is lead. He just takes orders from the 1% and follows them. Like a lemming to the sea.

When I read you thread I was laughing and shaking my head in disbelief. Can Republicans change the rules of a democracy at their whim and just refuse to fill the three seats of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals 'because it's under-worked' in their opinion? It makes my head spin.

Puzzle 4:19 I felt like I was swimming belly up!

Crew As the old TV programme used to say "You do the crime, you do the time." Tap dancing does not work, nor should it! A non partisan, unbiased investigation is definitely warranted.

MSNBC McTurtle is nothing more than a self aggrandising dishonourable fool who cares nothing for the people. His only interest is in preserving his senate seat. I would love to see Lundergan Grimes kick his sorry Republicanus/Teabagger ass back into the last century where I am sure he would be much more comfortable.

TPM Underworked? My ass their underworked! If they could get at what they should be doing, they would not be underworked! Get some Democratic leaning justices in there to balance the tilt, or better, some fair non partisan justices.

Cartoon I had always heard that Jesse Owens was snubbed by Hitler, but if Wikipedia is correct, which I think it is, it was the US that snubbed him. Isn't it interesting the power politics has over people. This from Wikipedia:

Owens said,

"Hitler didn't snub me it was FDR who snubbed me. The president didn't even send me a telegram."

Hitler sent Owens a commemorative inscribed cabinet photograph of himself. Honors were not bestowed upon Jesse Owens by either President Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) or his successor Harry S. Truman during their terms. In 1955, President Dwight D. Eisenhower (himself an athlete of note) honored Owens by naming him an "Ambassador of Sports."

@ Joanne --- Love it! Just what I figured.

For those who want a direct link to Joanne's offering, here it is. You'll love it! The usual GOP bear scat!

Noted. Thanks, Tom. If Bill Clinton could be impeached for lying to Congress regarding personal indiscretions, why can't Clapper? Wasn't their some sports figure who was fined for lying? I hope CREW is successful, because otherwise, lying to Congress will be the new "fall color."

Man, we'll get nowhere if we keep blaming the other guys for everything! districts that were gerrymandered to set up Republican representations are equal to those set up for Democrats when they had control;. Ditto for just about everything else including the filibuster that Democrats used ad nauseum when the Republicans had control. If we the sheep can't work together to demand progress from these idiots that we send to DC, then we'll never get better from this disease.

John, you need to check your facts. Never in has Gerrymandering been used to the extent Republicans are using it, and Democrats have not used it as a racist weapon since the Dixiecrats became the Republican base.
