How on earth can Rep Michael Grimm say that getting internet into schools is arrogant disregard for the current Congress? What IS it that they don't want everyone to find out?!

Expanding Internet access to all public schools will have a dramatic impact on how students learn. Teachers include Internet research in their current syllabus, this can actually enhance the classroom skills and reach for many students. Expanding the Internet may as Grimm said be a slap in the face, not to Congress that makes no sense, but to the idea of needing to privatize education. Privatization of public services has been going on for about 30 years, long enough for us to examine whether or not it is successful. It is most certainly highly profitable for a few, but the services have deteriorated, wasting taxpayer money on what are now broken systems.

Thank TC

Knowledge is power - think congress wants us to have any power?

I wish that Congress had more knowledge.

love the picture.....thanks.......unfortunately, the reason too many in Congress lack knowledge is they are busy reading the propaganda being written for them by their owners....rather than listening to the people.

Sharon, they don't dew anything or go anywhere for less than a million.....of our money.

But I do so love that both were so thoroughly snubbed by the Egyptians.

Puzzle ó 3:56 I like small and big pussy cats but that is one cat that I could not out run!

Moyers ó Very interesting discussion that bears listening more than once. I think the big take aways for me were persistence ance 'big isn't necessarily stronger' (big does not guarantee a win!)
Martin Espada: "The change that we want comes from below, it comes from the movement."
Bernie Sanders: "Ö progressive grassroots movement"
RoseAnn DeMoro: "it's not the politics of hated, it's not the politics of fear, it's the politics of hope."

NY Times ó That was only Limbarf's wet dream . . . the ass is so full of himself!

The Hill ó I can just see Grimm going apoplectic! What Grimm was really saying: "Itís just a flagrant, you know, arrogant disregard not just for the current Republicanus/Teabagger party," Grimm said in an interview with Fox News. "Look, itís not about me personally. Thatís not what this is about. You think about who is the Republicanus/Teabagger party? It really ó it is the voice of the 1%. We can't have our children exposed to all sorts of ideas. We need to keep them ignorant. We need to keep them within party bounds!"

Cartoon ó 18 August 2066 a blank picture of where the earth used to be until humans screwed it up and killed Mother Earth.
