Republicans already have more ways to steal an election than the very dirtiest, mangiest dawg has fleas. Every time I turn around, there’s another one! Their problem they face is that most of them are blatantly illegal. What ever is a Republican to do? Well, fearing that the sheriff might be a problem, they are trying to hog-tie the sheriff.

These chickens are all coming home to roost and that could begin with this campaign cycle. This does look like the last dying gasps of the most extreme elements within the Republican party. What is one to do when their messages do not excite the voters, rig the election. I think that can be found in the Republican party play book.

Sometimes I wish I knew a lot of mafia people so they could make some of these dumb butts an offer they couldn't refuse....

I wish I could put magnets on the bodies of Abe Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt because they're spinning in their Republican graves. At least that way we'd generate some clean power from their spinning.

They're all in this together ... I give up. Mafia ... not a bad idea at this point. How much more blatant does this crap have to get before people in this country wake up? Maybe the promise of no government is very enticing to that part of the U.S. that is crooked ... apparently, there are a lot of them.

Just when I thought they are running out of tricks, they pull another one out of their ass! Incredible.

Can't currently give Terrie another green star...Tho I can come up with a few $...know any LGBT mafia...

Noted with very little surprise at this point over the GOP/TP cheating...tho they do seem to be a bit creative in their ploys - must be a big thinker in the crowd somewhere.

Just emailed both of my Dem senators about article and asking for them both to look into this and delay Commission meeting. Hope it will help...maybe others can do the same.

Can't the Democrats muster up a Special Investigator/Prosecuter (like the RepubliCONs did for Clinton?) "sabotage the Federal Election Commission in its lawful obligation to police campaign abuses. The six-member commission is evenly divided between the two parties, but the Republican vice chairman, Donald McGahn, has spent his tenure as a partisan obstructionist, adroitly engineering 3-to-3 standoff votes to block penalties and other recommendations by staff investigators who uncover abuses by big-money campaigners."

They keep trying. Unfortunately, sometimes they actually get around the rules. Thanks for the article, Tom.

"Washington’s major watchdog groups have said that the McGahn proposal would gravely undermine campaign law and that the issue is of such importance that it should be taken up only by a full panel."

Who the hell provides oversight to this politically exposed FEC committee? Surely they must answer to someone, some body, who can rein in McGahn!

To have the entire US subject to the political whims of 3 people, at this juncture at least, is incredibly stupid and myopic. With such mechanisms in place as this lopsided affair, it is evident that the desired outcome of Republicanus/Teabaggers is a permanent Republicanus/Teabagger reign of terror, if it wasn't already evident.

Yvonne, Terrie W., Alan, Lynn S., you all said it for me!!
This is high treason! To be complicit in fixing an election is a crime! And to try to fix it like this is just unfathomable!!
And they use their "religion" to help fix the elections! Oh, my goodness! There are so many other things I would love to say, but as we all know, someone is always watching! And our elections are not going to be decided at the state and national level. They will be decided in courtrooms. Anyone that has the most lawyers will win.
Sad, but, I fear, true!
